Adore these two together. Great authentic man/woman Latino look. Everything in this looks and feels Latin except the music. I love Ed Sheehan but Its pop music with a syncopated beat. A universe away from proper samba. I think they have such a good authentic Latino look and feel that a more traditional style samba music would have tied it all together and give this performance so much more authenticity. I guess in ballroom style Latin its not important to be credible to the dance its more important to be current and popular.
Joe Testa not all of them. Ballroom latin has style period and it comes and go between traditional and other style. Int style ballroom dancing can use all sort of music from different styles eg waltze can be danced to country western, Anne Murray “Can I have this last dance”, to rock, Journey’s “open arms” to religious “amazing grace”. Being a Christian,I won’t dance to it. The beat is what determine what is goodir not.
S Lam. I get what you mean. It's not that I don't like the music. Its that it's often not easy to portray the authentic flavour of Latin dance to this kind of music, but I guess that may not be the important objective in competition Latin dance today.
To be honest, I don't like some of these music either. I think the reason these music are chosen is because they like to attract young and other people who haven't heard tradition samba before. Some of these folks will start to follow international samba dancing and will then listen and more importantly appreciate traditional samba music.
I don't understand the choice of this song either, even with such high class dancers there are points I feel awkward. Simply because the music doesnt provide the energy or the overall flow a samba needs
Son extraordinarios,mas no se puede hacer mas, ..... peroooo........esas parejas, bailan todo igual , y parecem muñecos com cuerda , no tem vida , solo tiene perfeitos movimíentos, no trasmiten emocion , todo igual, de un ritmo para outro, todo igual...reconozco lá perfeccion !
Wow Nino looks so good with Andra, so mature! I actually disliked his dancing style with Kristina, he's made such gigantic progress towards more masculine and balanced dance since then!!
I soooo love this couple! The intimacy they create with eye contacts and body gestures towards one another never ceases to move me.
