one key thing he missed here is that strider does in fact have his own OTG in formation B. you usually have more than enough time after a knockdown to do QCB+S twice (remember pointing out how good his recovery on projectiles is???) to get the OTG if you don't have one ready already. connecting to Ragnarok is fairly easy
Just wanted to say that strider's 236H is really good for catching people off guard at full-screen distance. Make sure not to use it too often and make sure it's safe or you can get blown up.
@KINGofGAMES15 To wavedash backwards, you have to hit H and then cancel into the dash really quickly. On an arcade pad you'd hit H and then L+M right afterwards while holding Back. On a controller you can hit H and then hit the trigger button, but that's not as easy to do.
im sorry but you can combo off the light ame-no-merakumo in certain situations because it causes a ground bounce but it is a really small one, don't believe me try it in x factor yourselves so you don't have to be looking for those specific situations
agreed, though max's are what got me intro fighting games and are a little more noob friendly plus are meant both as information and entertainment so I really don't see the need for any comparison. That said I like to begin learning characters with max's vids and then when I need some more nuts and bolts stuff I come here. But thats just me
@breadpops yeah i know. plus im sure jago can go hours about during this if he wanted to. plus it also felt like max rushed his stuff too. could of made it a little bit better
@gh0st1025 Thank you for posting this. I was thinking similar. Tutorials are only a basic guide anyway. It's not supposed to teach you to be the best with a character but get you to under the need to know and it's up to you to build your game after that. So The fact that he had a bad night with a new game.... who the hell cares? Several other top players were also knocked out early. Chris G, Masta CJ, etc, so what?
@KillerPoPBlues01 Maxmillian doesn't win tournies and people take his advice, Jago's advice is great since he has proven that he's actually a good player.
@gh0st1025 That argument doesn't work. That's like telling someone who makes fun of Chris Bosh that they "weren't there" and would never make it in the NBA. Instead, you should point out that Jago is a brilliant player and his track record more then makes up for one bad day. If only great players can talk shit, then maybe 10 players per game could talk shit in North America lol
@iamnum55 what? this is 10x more informational max was great because the game wasn't out yet but, now its time for break down this is a beakdown. all max did was have some costumes and show us a little of what the characters could do without breaking it down at all max is good but this is better for leaning max was better for entertainment.
SolidSonicTH It's proved us Americans can't pronounce Asian names for shit Be lucky Japanese is far less complicated than Chinese. You know how long it took for Koei of USA? "Cow Cow"
kalikovisionmaster Well, we still suck at pronouncing Asian names then. In the case of "ryu", compared to "riyu", its the same, save for the fact that the "i" sound is absent. But "ree-yuu", "ruu", whatever works...I hope that's the case.
See, the thing that pisses me off about this is that Max can play on the same level as professional players such as Justin Wong and Marn. He even has video proof. And Max doesn't try to tell people to take his advice to tournaments, it's just in online or offline casual play. So you guys need to back of off of him. Seriously, he's just trying to give advice. He doesn't come off as rude, cocky, or over confident, so take it for what it's worth and quit bitching.
Finally! Been waiting for the Strider Haroo guide.
I didn't even know about the instant overheads and that he could jump after teleports. Learning something new everyday.

During the first two seconds, I did not believe that Jago could sound so...friendly.
Great video. This really helped since I've been wanting to use Strider on my team for awhile now.
Thanks for the vid man, really want to try Strider when I pick up ultimate, this is going to help.

what is the buttons and controls in doing his teleport????
i never found this out but how do you wave dash backwards? i only know how to do it forward.
im sorry but you can combo off the light ame-no-merakumo in certain situations because it causes a ground bounce but it is a really small one, don't believe me try it in x factor yourselves so you don't have to be looking for those specific situations
All kidding aside, this was very helpful. Poor pronunciation is one of my guilty amusements heh

Shame you went 2 and out last night man, hopefully you do better at NEC, was looking forward to seeing your strider tech.
Just what I needed. I need to get my Black-red team ready.
My team:
Black Hiryu
Weapon X Deadpool
Red Doom
will people who already bought jill & shuma on the original have to rebuy them again for this? hope not thats the only way ill finally buy this
@breadpops yeah i know. plus im sure jago can go hours about during this if he wanted to. plus it also felt like max rushed his stuff too. could of made it a little bit better
For some reason, Formation B (shot only) cancels some of Strider's specials. You can use this to make Ame-no-murakumo safe :D
@jpmcrisostomo Okay...but when was the last time you saw Max at a tournament?
@KillerPoPBlues01 idk evo was the last one I saw him in, I think he plays online a lot more than actually competing in tournies.
jago is such a troll...
"pause if gpa is low"
I honestly miss Andre on FingerCramp
"Oyoroboats" hahahaha
the only thing that jago does compare to max is that he shows the combos moves so we can write it down and practice them
Oh thank god! I can assume the same for the costumes right?
Andre "Oreo boats" Lambert
i found out and bought it the other week but still thanks
OREOobos! lol shit still kills me. lol
Great tutorial.
THANKS FOR THE WORK
MARVEL F***ING LIVES
Neither is saying that you can't take advice from someone insanely good just because someone else insanely good happened to beat them moderately well.
I dont know if im reading it wrong but bread and butter combo #2 doesnt look right
Not gonna take tutorial advice from someone who went 0-2 at a local.. hold that shit Jago lol
Andre "Oryourobos" Lambert
stride haroo is awesome.
"GPA too low"... the fuckin guy can't even say Bread and Butter haha "Baynah-Burder"
I wouldnt say that. Max offers a different kind of info, but about the same amount of it
@jpmcrisostomo Its true Max doesn't win tourneys, but he CAN pronounce "Hiryu"
@gh0st1025 Thank you for posting this. I was thinking similar. Tutorials are only a basic guide anyway. striders advanced bnb only gives him 500k damage with one meter :( I`m pretty sure that`s a negative :/
dont take Jago advice and be where you are now, ALWAYS going 2 and out rather randomly once it happening. stay stream monsters 4 life.
@saitomitsurugi18 and won it. i meant to say. he did WNF once and won.
Its hier-you other than that great job.
@jpmcrisostomo But...both of them are good players.
@jpmcrisostomo max did a tourney lol
but Max's info is more in depth
Formation b on deck
Fc is where it's at, cross "awkward pauses" counter is getting stale. Jago actually has chemistry with his guests
@gh0st1025 Fucking stream monsters being stream monsters bro, they know how to do a floe face, but they can't even do a wolverine combo.
@KillerPoPBlues01 Maxmillian doesn't win tournies and people take his advice, Jago's advice is great since he has proven that he's actually a good player.
strider has 750 life same as akuma and racoon
@jpmcrisostomo
HURR ULTRADAVID SHOULDN'T BE COMMENTATING, HE HASN'T WON ANY TOURNIES
Great logic there, sport.
lol Oreobos
@gh0st1025 That argument doesn't work. That's like telling someone who makes fun of Chris Bosh that they "weren't there" and would never make it in the NBA. That because he teaches people how to play the game/character and be a good player, not a eSports pro.
@KillerPoPBlues01 hahahaha
@iamnum55 what? this is 10x more informational max was great because the game wasn't out yet but, now its time for break down this is a beakdown. all max did was have some costumes and show us a little of what the characters could do without breaking it down at all max is good but this is better for leaning max was better for entertainment.
whos strider hirroe? LOL
he has shit damage too ._.
it is pronounced here you not hiru
no
kalikovisionmaster I agree with him. If "Ryu" is "Ree-yoo", then it's "Here-yoo" if you add an "Hi-" to the front.
SolidSonicTH It's proved us Americans can't pronounce Asian names for shit
Be lucky Japanese is far less complicated than Chinese. You know how long it took for Koei of USA?
"Cow Cow"
SolidSonicTH i agree with your logic except ryu is pronounced ruu
kalikovisionmaster
Well, we still suck at pronouncing Asian names then.
In the case of "ryu", compared to "riyu", its the same, save for the fact that the "i" sound is absent.
But "ree-yuu", "ruu", whatever works...I hope that's the case.
They need to nerf "All-your-row-boats," shit sounds cheap
Oreoboes

Pro tip XD
@jpmcrisostomo Alright..Your argument is invalid
lol it's not pronounced huhroo it's hear-you
O U robos, Strider Haru. So many American pronunciation errors...other than that pretty informative
oi your robosh
that's low
