Comet Leonard C/2021 Time-Lapse Animation

A short time-lapse animation of Comet Leonard C/2021 A1 with three hours of motion as it slowly passed by the globular star cluster M3 (Messier-3) in the constellation of Canes Venatici. Shot the morning of December 03, 2021 using a Celestron RASA-8 telescope and ZWO ASI533MC Pro camera. This is 2021's best and brightest comet, although its only visible with a binocular or telescope.

The comet already made it's closest approach to Earth and is now on the way around the sun and then back into space after January.
