6:07 as far as I know, this crash is considered iconic in Argentina. "My entire body hurts, because of the shaking and all that other stuff" -Traverso, after a journalist asked him how he felt a day later.
this was the summer i Graduated. I started to really follow GT racing on youtube cause alot of the races were on here. I remember watching that full race for it to come down to that was mental. Happy it wasnt more serious. It was super similar to Nascar At Watkins Glen of Reutimann and Ragen
I cant believe how violent that first accident was, they didnt look like they were going too fast into the wall but the one guy flew like 7 feet in the air
@@jurekgadzinowski2895 That's a general rule introduced in the past to avoid confusion and discussion about 'track position' and who was where when cars are in the pits and stuff. It saves a lot of controversial decisions and unnecessary discussions so they also apply that same rule in whatever lap of the race it is. Is it lap 1, then the cars which do not take the re-start are classified as 'did not start' or 'did not participate'. Add: most of the time results are formed on the base of who completed X amount of laps. Since this red flag meant half the field hadn't completed the same lap they were in as the leaders, they count back to make sure everyone has a fair chance and result. Especially in races which have to be completed by 90% for example in order for you to be classified and not DNF.
1:18 I hope to god they added the fence all the way around the wall and added more wall after that wall ended after that crash happened I hope to god they did
Lots of people were lucky as hell and got away easy. The new safety systems like the halo were already needed back then. The Champcar crash could've beheaded 2 guys. Even Michael Schumacher almost got beheaded in 2012.
0:27 Knowing nothing else about that race.... i put the blame for that squarely on the white car.... he's already on the outside, you KNOW how wide the other car is... there's no excuse for trying to 'push into him' like that.
those 2 in the first vid, totally uncalled for, the race was over, i know they were battling for position, but the guy in the yellow car, just nudged the other one, and caused the crash.
The camera in the black shirt is incredible lucky..in that last clip.. the guard-rail just get ripped off the ground, and is swung at tremendous speed around. And luckily, a good bit above his head. It would've killed him instantly.. he'd have no chance
American mentality. I've seen races where there have been huge battles for 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and all the American broadcast focus on is the leader a mile ahead of everyone else...
>Thumbnail is of drag racing >"Sprint cars and drag racing were excluded" Really? You couldn't have made a thumbnail from any of the 9 crashes you DID have?
I'm sorry it was that white cars fault the very first race at you guys show yeah most definitely the white cars fault on that he kept forcing his white car into that gold one so pretty much if I was the head of that racing trust me that dude in the white car he would never be able to race and that League ever again sorry that was uncalled for two guys could have died there
I'm sorry but it's just irresponsible to continue a race when rain causes practically zero visibility. As if visibility wouldn't be a concern while racing cars at incredibly fast speeds. It's just baffling to me. Add it to the list of other dumb shit in auto racing, such as having tracks with elevation changes that causes blind spots. So if a wreck happens just over a hill, oncoming cars won't be able to see what is blocking their path. Another one is how they design some tracks with barriers that angle inwards, so that when cars hit it, it launches them back onto the track, directly into or in front of other racing vehicles.
@@randalskinner1194 Dude, what are you babbling on about? First off, I don't think you know what the definition of a REPLY is. Because I didn't make a reply. I made a comment. And if you consider my comment that is under 4 lines long, and takes less than 30 seconds to read, too much for your addled brain to comprehend, then that's your problem. Take a reading class or something.
@@jeremybr2020 ……easy tiger……I said no ill will intended so, you might wanna attend that reading class you spoke of and the “babbling on”……..if you look that up in the Webster’s Dictionary, it would read “someone who talks excessively or one that has a use for run on sentences“ and at the end it would read “see @jeremybr2020’s comments for an example”. So, now your gonna right some evil reply back and be a last word freak. I’ll save you some anticipation…….this will be the last time you hear from me, okay! I don’t like to verbally beat someone up in a “comment” and then play tit for tat with the typical argumentative morons that feel they must have the last word. I was just suggesting to keep the “comments” small and to the point. Let’s see if you can resist the temptation of “replying” with some hateful comment…….I’m guessing, you probably can’t. Ah that’s humorous!
Having flipped a car myself, I can say that “entire body hurts” is EXACTLY how you feel the next day. If you survive.
commentator in the first clip just wants his paycheck...........
tbh nobody even watches GT4 anyway, much less way back in 2015 before ACC and AC were popular
I almost fell asleep while listening to him
@@vincollo9 he sounds like someone who desperately needs anti-depressants
Get a couple of Japanese drift commentators and problem fixed
The race was so boring it took a horrendous accident to wake him up.
That first one was horrifying
omg what a horrible crash…. anyways

Probably the most wtf 😳 opening to a motorsport clip played on RUclips to date...
Didn't expect that much carnage to a mundane finish of a race 😳😳😳
5:47 guy seen bottom right sitting down. Making sure his beer cooler is safe

1:18 Pocono Tunnel Turn moment
First clip at the Red Bull Ring was so scary, I have never seen a crash very horrifying before.
So with the first one...how do the finishing positions work in a race that was red flagged after some of the cars took the chequered flag?
Goes back to lap before I would guess
@@applesauce3426 Why lap before? Why it is not the way positions were in the moment just before the accident that caused the red flag?

If you will make the part 2, make sure to add Todd Kluever and Dan Shaver Flip at daytona 2005 in the arca series
4:45 it sounds like an engineer in F1 Challenge 99-02. And I think W Series crash from Spa might also fit to that compilation.
2:55 always a good idea to race in the rain.
6:12 didn't realise you research that hard. I didn't think I'd ever see a crash like this on a major compilation.

That first crash the commentator described it perfectly. "Absolute disaster." Because the aftermath was a disaster zone
honestly the older ones are scarier. newer cars have such insane safety your fine unless its REALLY REALLY bad
I'm cracking up at the guy sitting in the corner reading a newspaper!!
Check out Fabian Coulthard Bathurst Crash if you want to see one of the fastest corners roll overs.
Me sigue encantando ver choques del automovilismo argentino.
Wow! Great video. Many of these I have never seen. Bravo for a splendid compilation that was worth my time. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
