the name quan guan probably translates into pain and frustration. pieces either need a rubber mallet (or a meat tenderizer if that crap falls apart 20 seconds later anyway), or a healthy shot of glue. mad respect for pulling through and finishing this torture device!

I can feel your pain in this assembly, I buy legos, some are original and others are modified like military legos sets which I love and it all started with your channel, before I only bought legos Star Wars or Lego City after discovering your incredible channel I started buying modern military legos or ww2 sets, excuse my writing as I'm not from an English-speaking country, I'm from Brazil.
Did you buy any non-lego sets/bricks, like cobi or quan guan?

@@hopin8krzys The first non-Lego I bought were 2 from Cobi 1 M4 Sherman and 1 P51 Mustang and then there was another I forgot the brand but it was Tiger H1 this one had some problems to assemble and the ones that give problems to assemble are fitting of pieces are from Lego Star Wars but nothing as critical as having to throw a love punch in the video.

Imagine kits with quan guan interiors, but cobi bricks. *chefs kiss*
New cobi tigers do have better detail then quan guan interiors. I have the white tiger and turret basket a pain to build. but interiors and turret baskets are now here for all cobi tanks. New Tiger 131 and whitmans tigers will have same. Panzer 4 l/e, panzer 4 and wirblewind may have same.
Quan quan is just the Definition of "He is a little confused, but he got the spirit"
I really hope you just had a bad batch as my model arrived this week and aim to build it next week - hope I don’t suffer as much as you did! Though also frustrated with the variable brick quality once built they do tend to display well (which is all I do with them) and are so much cheaper than COBI - though I buy both…am adding this to my Afrika Korps display 😊 great video as always!
Hi Brickmeet have now built my copy - have to say my turret fitted together perfectly no issues - however, the same could not be said of the exhaust pipes / covers which fall off at the slightest touch and are very fiddly to reconnect. The upper deck also doesn’t sit perfectly flat either so not one of QG’s best. That said given the price point once complete this does display well and so is a bargain - just can’t be played with, without bits falling off. It’s also a lot more like a Tiger than their original “131” 1:28 scale version…but agree their 1:24 scale version is better….

Such a shame that the quality isn’t good because the interior is awesome
Design, and build overall look really good but as shown suffers from really bad brick quality and overall QC. I can't imagine how you actually got this completely together without replacing some of the pieces along the way. Cobi I feel still seems to be the golden standard when it comes to these buildable military models. Really enjoyed build the Tiger 1 they released I think maybe three years ago.
Cobi has a nice balance in my opinion - display vs fun, sturdiness vs details, complexity vs easyness of building. Tho ww2 sets in 1:35 seem to break away from this standard quite often

You definitely need to compare it with Cobi newest Tiger (with interior)
Unfortunately said interior is pretty limited, there isn't even driver compartment. But it looks like in every other aspect cobi is better. Well, except price I guess

also had that issue when i was making the engine compartment for the Cobi tiger 1.
Which one, the newest? Engine itself was tricky, but can't recall any problems with compartment itself. Turret basket was a real pain in the ass in that one
@@hopin8krzys it wasnt the newest, it was the butter colored one before they released tigers with stuff beneath the turret it only had the engine compartment.

@@willknowler8194 Not really problems, just very finicky in building. Engine required some extremely tight squeezes with pieces, and turret basket was build on 4 small, barely connected plates and attached to the turret with only 3 thin rods. Of course it's all doable, just needs some... mental preparations - don't rush, take your time with steps that appear problematic
Seeing the thumbnail, my inner voice immediately told me that's not COBI. 😅
Do the bricks need tenderness, or a tenderizer. At this point I plan to steer clear of Quan Guan

I had near identical problems with it and the front gun and slope was a real pain to fit properly and not look odd. Definitely not as good as Quan guans previous tiger in camouflage.

@@TenHo-fy9is Yes, in my opiniont it is bigger in size than cobi's is2 and much cheaper, the tank tracks work very smoothly. And some new types of bricks are used to build the exterior, which makes it look better.
Yes,quanguan new design really hits the spot though the cupola looks kinda flat
Rather have a new £100 cobi Tiger thanks looks better and now we have tiger 131 1/12 scale interiors and turret baskets in 1/28 scale tanks. Cobi has evolved to super cobi. Turret baskets are a nightmare to do. even after cobi sent me a parts package and mostly wrong parts and same one 6 times. lol. Like i have a bag of new tracks cobi sent me to fix Ferdie L/E tracks as some track pins just a little too thin and unclip.

Jemand bemerkt dass die Laufrollen falsch montiert sind? Bei Tiger ist die erste Laufrolle vom vorne in außen Schichten, nicht in innen (mittel) Schichten wie Panther.

Not even the magic of editing can fix the problems of cheap labour. Also: "Quan Guan bricks need a lot of love and tenderness" *caveman smashing noises*
Man Quan Guan is so decieving. They have some really unique ideas and interior designs but the brick quality is holding them back greatly..
Being quality manager there must be a dream job - you could get away with a lot xD
I don't think quality management is even a thing, seeing how random the quality is.
I see your frustration about the brick quality, but I have to say I have a somewhat different experience.
While everyone is saying Quan Guan quality is subpar, for me it was quite alright.
I have built around 8 Quan Guan sets sofar, and while the quality was never as good as COBI or Panlos, it was never an issue for me.
Okay, maybe once with the big 3000pcs MAUS tank, there were a few times I had issues with the bricks.
Maybe I just got lucky, but I am hoping Quan Guan will improve in the future and have more unique designs!
I have already ordered this Tiger tank, once it arrives I will update if mine had bad quality bricks as well or not.
As somebody who owns sets from both COBI and QuanGuan, I couldn't agree more. The brick quality of the latter might not be great but it's not really that much of an issue. Furthermore, if you remove the excess plastic leftovers from the molding process most bricks just fit fine.
It might be a bit tedious to check every single brick but besides the flat tiles, not many bricks aren't well cut.
Just today I built their latest T-34 and I had plenty of fun building it
I have finished the build, and I have to say, apart a few plates the quality wasn't an issue for me. Though I had 2 missing pieces.
Overall a great looking set for the price!

I agree as well, whilst I only have two sets, the 3000pc Maus and the newer KV-2, with some very minor issues of quality, the building has never been this difficult.

There are missing brickparts in this video. I can see there should be some parts on the engine at 9:14 = Near the red tube and the sloping grey parts on the right side of the engine compartment. look and compare to the other side of the engine compartment.

I don't know why. Sometime quan guan is almost as good as cobi but the most of the time it's really bad quality. But how? This the best example.
It's never as good as COBI, but most times you can build it much easier and only tiles have to be turned til they fit.

I have the bigger version(green one that you showed at the start of video) and for the first time, it was painful to build it=/ but then it became easier/funnier/more interesting to build

Quan Guan either is 'honestly really pretty decent' or 'utterly painful'. I haven't seen any midpoints ... makes me wonder if they have two factories that make parts for them, and one is ... far better.

Oha, die Steinequalität scheint ja nicht das wahre zu sein... Eine Menge Frust und Kraftaufwand (oder auch Liebe und Zärtlichkeit...), um das Set zu klemmen. Schade, eigentlich schaut das Set ganz nett aus. Schade! Gruß und weiter so 😊

Ja, Quan Guan verschenkt unglaublich viel Potential. Sie haben gute Ideen, tauschen immer mehr kopierte COBI Teile gegen eigene und bieten auch eigene Sets. Die miese wechselhaft Qualität macht vieles kaputt. Ich versteh nicht, warum sie nicht einfach ihre Steine bei GoBricks einkaufen und nur noch Eigenentwicklungen wie die großen Ketten selber herstellen. Klappt doch bei anderen Herstellern auch.
