@@anegg9057 maybe but he´s incredibly disrespectful and I dont trust someone whos fails to do basic research, just look at the T14 debacle, cone of arc and red effect already put him in his place. And dont even get me started on the Panther video....
I still remember the first time playing this story over Company of Heroes DLC, the feel around how fearsome and powerful the tiger tanks on the battlefield
Good video. Here is a fact for everyone that likes to weigh in on the Tiger 1 and if it was really that fearsome or more of a myth. There were only around 1250 Tigers ever made. Not an exact number but close. The allies produced tens of thousands of tanks. The Russians even more. So by just that alone the Tiger had over a 10 to 1 kill ratio. And records from both sides back that up. So yeah, I'd say the Tiger 1 was that bada$$. The term "Tiger-phobia" was real. No other tank caused that kind of chaos.
Yet again, another smashingly well-done video! It's great to admit that you tried to be truthful, but probably was not what actually happened. What always amazes me is inflated stories of valor when there are many that go untold and they truly deserve it! An amazing story about heroism and valor for a true patriot that deserves to be more well- known is the story of Witold Pilecki.
Why would you say that? He was a Nazi who went along with the propaganda and benefited from making the Nazis look good. I say let him rot in hell, he knows what he did
A very detailed, and very different, version than I have heard in the past. I was under the impression that Whittman abandoned his tank in the village when it became stuck in a destroyed building? He then retirned with another Tiger, and that was also lost.
I've heard that Wittmann barely avoided a Court Martial over that action. While, yes, he was successful, he apparently ignored another German unit in distress. Though, like you said, it there are simply too many conflicting accounts. Plus, when the Germans surrendered, they destroyed considerable documents or stashed them away. Others DO exist, but are unfortunately, buried in Archives from DC to Moskva (good luck at getting any records from Moskva now). And that's not including the records from Norway and Finland North Africa that are likely forgotten about. Although, recently, it has been found that a 6-pdr has enough power to actually pierce the side of a Tiger. The problem with the 6-pdr, and its American version (the 57mm M1 ATG), appears to be that the gun is finicky at short ranges and its best capabilities are at a thousand yards, which just so happens to be its maximum accurate range. After 1,000 yards, it yaws a bit too much and then goes off somewhere else. One of the reasons the US Army didn't try to upgun their Light Tanks with 57mm Guns was how finicky the dang thing was, and this was in spite of the fact that RnD and Armor Branch managed to stick a 75mm into a M5 Turret! Still, I have to admit, this is one of the better accounts I've heard about the rampage, and it is definitely at the correct time of day. In CoD, it was both wet and at night and kept running amok in the town itself doing most of the damage.
Not to be going off at ya but i do want to point out the mistakes on the tiger, could always improve so. There is no indent on the left and right of the tiger’s turret, the gun is too thin, and on the gun mantlet on the left of the gun there is no line on it, just smooth, that’s the machine gun port. Also the side skirts angle downward a little that are not straight. Other than that you did well.

I was both amazed and proud when those 5 little Stuart Tank's had a go at standing up to that Tiger Tank,l'll always cheer for the underdog being that l'm a shortarse myself, l just think those 5 Stuart tank's perfectly sum up the plucky Brit spirit of those men during WW2. And yes at the setting and the rising of the sun l do remember them 🙏
I love how to narrate the videos you make I've been a fan of your channel for 2 weeks now I thank you and your team for the hard work making these mini-documentaries. ❤
Nah man. It's how history should be told and understood. It's with great respect and the story to be told in the fashion and manor it was intended. It's like they watched the history channel and said no way can this be right. It's not how you tell the tale of this history. Screw this let's make it out way with better grafics and music to boot. With this set in stone. Like the tiger tank on a mission in this video. It's was fire to start with. The new gold standard in story's of history is right here. Someone get these people an Emmy. Take note history channel. They come for you. Well done yarnhub.
Ever since you post such great historical animated videos, this is yet another great video, because there’s one thing most historians put in their videos: effort.
You know it's going to be a good day when Yarnhub uploads.
One of the best videos I've watched. Detailed and engaging to say the least. I also notice how the characters look so alive. I also appreciate how you admit if there are errors in the video. Same goes for the amount of various researches.
the quality content this channel brings is just getting better and better
I am never disappointed by these videos. Keep it up guys I learn so much.
Wittmann undoubtedly would make a very classic villain for a Hollywood film......
Yeah except once it shows the Allies defeating him, the wehraboos are going to go crazy
@@KillerT-Bone I mean, we already know it's a tragedy and how it will end

The Brit officer saying "Shoot" was an attention to detail! Awesome one.
I only just noticed that
7:45. Sherman: "haha you have no aim." Tiger: " *are you sure about that?* "
I like how Wittman has that evil smile before firing at enemy
I love seeing how far this channel has come, I’ve been here from the start and I can’t wait to see everything else you have In store for us! 😤
These animations continue to improve! Can’t wait to see how future videos continue to change!
A truly epic video! Your storytelling is always fantastic and the animation always seems to improve with each new video, keep up the amazing work, Yarnhub!
By far one of the best videos you have ever produced. Great pace, sound and script... really made me feel the desperation of the allies, as well as pride for the Tiger crew. It almost felt like they were to good guys! And we the watcher were rooting for them
This is honestly one of the greatest video yarnhub made and wittman looks so devious
I know this is supposed to be serious but i can't help but laugh at the voice of Michael wittmann in this video but either way nice voice acting from your team
That's not just any German tank commander. It's German Panzer Ace Michael Wittmann !!!!!!
@@kevinbabu8919 omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@kevinbabu8919 thanks mate edited it to michael wittmann instead of "german tank commander"

@@combinesoldier7732 I also agree 👍 with you. Wittmann's voice sounds so funny. 😂
Every single new video you release takes me away, the quality has been improving and some of your shots are of the same quality as some of the highest quality documentaries, thanks for showing us some of the more unknown histiories of the world!

Love the little references you guys hide in these vids, not sure if this one was intentional but I hope it was 😅
Dr. Evil
dont you just love it when you get an ad at the right time and the video freezes for a split second mid explosion XD
4:55 you've got to give it those 3 little guys they knew they had no way of killing the Tiger but still stood ground so that their comrades could retreat
The fought valiantly
one bailed but the other drive to see what going on but the seconed one was so briave i shot and did every thing to stop or warin the colme of let be real here 7 tanks 2 fire flys and 5 cromwells with the commanding verisons.
Bruh the tigers turret when they're still starting the rampage turns so fast and 7:40 tiger turret now moved slower than a snail 😂

Excellently done and presented! Yarnhub your presentations are remarkable.
Wonderful channel. I've said it before......you're the BEST!
Hi, I'm Russian and I like that you have balls of steel and you don't oppress or send out fakes, by the way, the drawing is SUPER and it's very interesting to listen to you and understand what was happening - thanks to the drawing.
Thank you for telling a great tale! I can only imagine how many incredible untold stories there are like this from all theaters of war.
Its good to get them out to the people of today as many of these valiant men from both sides stories would otherwise be forgotten.
8:17 is no one going to point about this moment's cinematography? Amazing
Wow! You really manage to convey the intensity of battle without embellishments. Great content! ...I even liked the Mike Myers, 'Dr. Evil' pose for Wittmann at the beginning.
Meanwhile Tiger players in WT: 💀

i remember once going against two tigers and a panther A and killing all three using t34-85, they played like bots
Nice animation. The shell firing from 6:00 kinda look slike from warthunder with you animation style, Great vid
The style of this video gives me early-3d Yarnhub vibes. From the tank designs to the fire effects. I absolutely love it
I play World of Tanks a bit and the cammo you see in Michael Wittman's Tiger resembles the Tiger 1 Baron cammo from World of Tanks! LOOOL! Outstanding videos! Thank you for your hard work! Magnificent!!! ❤👍🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼💪🏼😎
This is what kids in German 5.3 hope to accomplish but never could
and get ammo explosion by an M22
It’s hilarious to see. Charging in just to get lit up.
never seen a german kid rack up more than 3 kills doing that strategy , Even less shooting on the move
Thank you for your outstanding work in illustrating what happened back then. It's hard to imagine the full range and prospect only from reading something in a book.
Also I like the face mechanics in this one :D
Those Stuarts seeing a tiger down the road : "Oh no"
Yeah the details of this event in the video are not entirely accurate. The British didn’t have an accurate report and the Nazis put out propaganda to make wittman look better then he was the event and some details did happen but not the way it was written. Very enjoyable video. Love the WW2 content💯
The sheer amount of legendaryness it takes to have not only god-tier animations but also hella smooth sponsor transitions. Props to all of you guys, keep it up.
Lazerpig made a video debunking the myths surrounding the battle of VIllers-Bocage and the propaganda surrounding Wittmann.
3:51 gives off War Thunder vibes, that's how you know Yarnhub did such a good job
A lazerpig video came out sort of opposing this point of view on how the battle took place, a bit long but not a bad video

Video after video the quality just gets better and better, amazing job yarnhub!
I'm a lot more impressed by the courage of those little Stuarts and some of the tanks than a guy in one of the toughest tanks of the war though
I still remember the first time playing this story over Company of Heroes DLC, the feel around how fearsome and powerful the tiger tanks on the battlefield
And instantly have transmission breakdown and bail out before reaching the battlefield
And get P-47ed and pershing’d
And that's just Tiger tank. You also got King Tiger tank available for Wehrmacht Terror Doctrine to use. That thing shred Allied armies for breakfast.
Blitzkrieg mod is completely unfair lol
@@T--madefromstalinium thats a myth, transmissions were fine, problem was the germans overused them due to not having spare parts
@@T--madefromstalinium aside from that, the pershing went into service 2 years after the tiger 1 had seen combat
Jentz gives a revised number of 1,347, including the prototype, following investigation of the primary sources.
When ever yarhub post it feels like Christmas

Ruhe in Frieden Michael Wittmann 🪦🕯
Why would you say that? He was a Nazi who went along with the propaganda and benefited from making the Nazis look good. I say let him rot in hell, he knows what he did
Gotta admire the bravery of the Stuart Blocking the road knowing well that they do not stand a chance against the 88
A very detailed, and very different, version than I have heard in the past. I was under the impression that Whittman abandoned his tank in the village when it became stuck in a destroyed building? He then retirned with another Tiger, and that was also lost.
Loves how it shoots the cartrage with the bullet lmao 1:19
"That's 65% more bullet per bullet". Cave Johnson
Came down to look for this comment. Not disappointed.
@@ElRodry87 amen.
3:45 He must be an "expert loader". He puts ammo together in the middle of a firefight
Wow!Wonderful retelling the history of Ww2.This is just another one of the legends another legendary video.

@@Yarnhub Thank you sorry for the late response just got back in school again!
11:15 there might be error in the last part when tiger is destroyed, that is exaggerated. Rest will be real
7:55 i find the notion of a 17pdr failing to pen a tiger 1s side anywhere rather far fetched, then the building crushing the tank sounds strange.
LOL.. Michael Whittman doing Dr evil face as you introduce him in beginning of video. Absolutely hilarious
