I just found your channel yesterday! You're quite motivating and inspiring, not to mention energetic and strong. I used to do TKD, but not very long, enough to get a yellow belt. Anyways, thanks for sharing your content. I need some foot work drills in my life. I think it'll be good for my brain. Subscribed!
clean and very solid movement, Thanks! adding to my 60min footwork daily routine. Trying to create the Ultimate footwork from every martial Arts discipline
amazing vid bro. used to be like very uninterested and not wanting to grt back into taekwondo, but you helped me get on track, and soon ill be on the competition team. thanks to your vids they are amazing!
You should practice,"Perfect Parry". Grab your opponent's incoming punch, and kick them right in the rubs with a side kick. That's why boxing isn't good for street fights lol, in a real fight. There are weapons and arm grabs.
I use a front kick for that matter. Wondering though about the best footwork to evade a punch, as I don't attack first. Nice guy, what can I say, hahaha 😆
So much wrong with this statement I don’t know where to start. I literally have a playlist dedicated to teaching tkd fighters how to transition from sport to self defense because tkd has so many holes in it. I’ve been doing tkd for 30 years and boxing for 15, and I can tell you most boxers would kill most tkd fighters in a fight. The idea of grabbing their arms in a fight is absurd btw. As for weapons, roughly 98% of weapon defense I see taught in Taekwondo will get you killed. You need to learn a lot more before you say such things ruclips.net/p/PL-xwvF7p8HaiqVD12DdtI777XgfZrPGGA
@@DevilDogMartialArts- I often try my friends. How does a person react to a kick. They always back up scared. What will a boxer, who's never been kicked, do?
Zach Mich it depends on style but mostly close the gap and put you on your heels. This is something that frequently happens when you get boxer vs tkd. Look at a peek a boo boxer who gets to clinching range with a lot of cover very quickly then blasts you with uppercuts to the chin and liver shots. This isn’t guess work. It’s a common issue.
Zach Mich what’s worse is that most tkd fighters throw things like close range axe kicks or suicide spinning hook kicks and end up on the ground, or not knowing how to deal with pressure they expose their back. They throw low damage roundhouse kicks just above the belt because they are used to that being a point but don’t do any damage. They throw kicks to the head assuming boxers can’t defend only to realize they are wrong. These are major reasons why I’m pushing to change the curriculum and rules of Taekwondo to legitimize it as a fighting art again. Unfortunately 95% of the people I see in Taekwondo, including Alex Wong in this video, completely overestimate their fighting ability.
Thanks for the videos they help me so much on my taekwondo journey to black belt. 🥋
Thank you Alex To make this video because You are the Best and Hard-working in Taekwondo
It feel like a beast when u do footwork like a pro
Like how she changes from orthodox to southpaw(boxing language), and how she is able to move smoothly in either stance.
Excellent! Adding this to the curriculum, exactly what I was looking for. You got a new subscriber now! THX!!

can you please recommend how many times and sets we should do these?
I would do 1 as many times as I could until I felt comfortable moving on to the next one......my opinion 🙂🙃
