Shykh Assim is a great student of knowledge.
May Allah preserve him.
His manhaj isn't clear, he sits with ikhwanis, he praises innovators, he has mistakes in fiqh and aqeedah, may allah guide him.
I am telling you that assimalhakeem is a good man if you would tell him his mistakes he will rectify himself inshallah for he is not an emy of allah who would knowingly give wrong fatwas he is just a layman trying to call people towards Allah and his messenger(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)

QUESTION:
My daughter loves dogs, wife is going to get her a dog. I told my wife the consequences of keeping a dog in Islam, i.e. loosing 2 qiraat of hasanaat per day. She is still adamant on getting a dog. Will I loose my hasanaat for her choices?
ANSWER:
Who's the man of the house? It's totally prohibited to keep dogs as pets and you must order her not to get it and she must obey you! If she doesn't, get rid of them both!

That's extremism. Such an attitude is making people leave Islam. She's a girl, not a pet, you are suggesting him to get rid of. Allah made you her guardian, not her God. She's a human being with emotions and hobbies, not a puppet. You can deal with her patiently and explain everything to her with love. You can keep the dog outside of your house for guarding purposes. Such kind of attitude isn't appreciative at all.

Reason -
1.His Fatwa regarding Major sin - Shaikh believes that if someone steals something , he dosent have to return anything to the right owner but just need to Ask repentance from Allah
2. His Fatwa regarding marriage- Shaikh believes that if women committed zina in past still she can marry MOMIN muslim man - which is totally against the quran ayah
3. His Fatwa regarding Friday prayer if you are on Job
4. His Fatwa on repentance- he said if you done anything wrong to other people you dont have to ask forgiveness from them - only repentance from allah is sufficient- which is totally against the Ruling of Quran

-1 He(sheik Assim) also said that if you return things and aplologise the owner and it doesn't create fitna,you have to do it.If it's gonna create fitna and you stole it when you're young or out of arrogance,it's better to stay back and ask Allah for forgiveness.
-2 Sheik says this in a q and a session at a place.His meaning is if a girl has relationships before but found the path of righteousness,she would ask Allah for forgiveness and conceal it between her and Allah.Because in a hadith stated that Allah forgives any sin except a public sin.No man would ask such a question to a proposal if he's a true believing man.And another thing.
-3 I think I didn't get your question correctly.I think you're stating about A muslim working in a company and the boss didn't let him pray jummah.in a disbeliever country, every owner would do this due to their disbelievs.Now Sheik said"You can pray at the office and that's your rights.The boss can't demend not to pray.If you can't either,you have to pray Zuhr" (I'll say this is out of my hand.I don't know a lot about this thing.If I make mistake,correct me)
-4 Same as No.1 If it's gonna create fitna,don't do it.Instead,Ask Allah for forgiveness or even better is that you pray to Allah to change the man's mind and forgive you.

Shaykh, you said the TRUTH about Assim al Hakeem. He has given a lot of wrong fatwas... I love you for the sake of Allah Shaykh.
He has erred in some things, so clarify it and pass it to him since he has said openly that if he is wrong then he will change his opinion. No one is free from mistakes.
Secondly, he doesn't passes a Fatwa but rather what he has learned from the scholars and he has said this himself.
Thirdly, scholars such as Sheikh Sālih Al-Fawzān and others have not addressed him, rather their statements were taken and applied upon him.

Yā Akhī, the scholars (see the statements of Sheikh Sālih Al-Fawzān and Al-Luhaydan) strictly say that Tabd'ī is for the 'Ulamā' and for the average joe and nor for the students of knowledge; you easily call him an Ikhwānī?
Fear Allāh and turn away from this, preserve your time in seeking knowledge. Leave speaking of others for now as there is a well known clip of Sheikh 'Abdus Salām As-Shuwayr and of other well known Shuyūk whom say to preserve one's self in knowledge and then as time passes by, due to his gathered knowledge, he will be able to determine the right from the wrong.
Secondly, he doesn't hangs with Ahlul Bid'ah, he has claimed As-Salafīyyah. It is evident from his actions and statements, that he calls only to "Allāh has Said and His Messenger (ﷺ) has said". As for his mistakes as people have claimed such as praising certain people, then a book reviewed by Sheikh Wasīullah 'Abbās, titled: The Advice. States:
_For example, praising or promoting a certain person of innovation or his books; when the person who is praising is otherwise known for uprightness upon the Book and the Sunnah. This is an error, but it does not mean that the person exits Ahlus Sunnah due to this. Rather some may even go to the extent of taking issues that are not even errors in the details of the manhaj, and consider them to be errors in the general manhaj ! For example, if we do not take care to arrange for proper duroos (lessons) on the books of aqeedah, fiqh, etc., then this is in reality a deficiency in 'amal (action), and not an issue of error in manhaj._
The evidence has to be established beforehand, one needs to properly discuss matters with the indivual. Certain principles preceed both Takfīr and Tabd'ī.
