What a great escape from stress and worry. Aside from that, I thought the exactly right person won, having ZERO to do with race or any of it but solely with her garment being BEST IN SHOW. That was haute couture avant-garde. Thanks for the eye candy, Chasity! And I LOVE Christian even more for saving Shantall. Excellent Scorpionic judgment! Her exit would've been a travesty . . . They really should have let/sent Anna home after this Her work was so excellent beforehand and really fell off after. Send her home to recover and promise her a return ticket the following season.
Chasity and praje were the best. The rest were pretty bad. I did not like bones and Aaron bickering. Race aside, it was two egos bruising each other. Two big heads bumping each other. But I do believe it's the producers manipulating them as they do in every reality tv show.
This episode was the worst. No imagination whatsoever. Seen far better Avant garde designs in previous seasons. also I dont understand what makes wining look avant garde. Doesn't that umbrella shape used so often? Kini did this shape first in rain challenge in S 13.
I'm binge watching this season to catch up and it's ridiculous. It's like a parody. I'm reminded of "Don't Be A Menace" where Keenan comes out and screams "Messsaaaaagge!!" Every five minutes someone is talking about how they've always felt marginalized. It's constant. Christian threw out the idea to make that one dress like a cage. The two designers were like, "Yeah! Ummm...we're both minorities and so we feel caged..." Lol. That's fine, but then they went with this story on stage as if it was their original idea. They just ran with it so they could get extra sob-story points. Every week someone is being a victim and feeling unseen. And that whole thing with Meg was comical, too. Oh, and that lady came back with her hospital bracelet still on but not even so much as a single bandaid. I was like, "take that thing off!" Lol! People are milking victimhood for all it's worth!
Contestants would do well to RESPECT Christian and TAKE SERIOUSLY and GRATEFULLY any and all advice and to seek his guidance. I don't know if it's stupidity, ego, immaturity, the you-owe-me generational trait or the everyone-gets-a-prize syndrome or just utter disrespect for giants/journeymen/journeywomen, etc., in their field. Snap out of it, and LISTEN! You do NOT know best. You must consider what Christian is telling you. Saints preserve us! Pissed off. ~Aunt Jules
So true. I watched Christian on Watch What Happens Live after this episode and Christian said you would think they would listen to his advice since he won the show, went on to make millions and dressed women all over the world.
@@thrshwll1526 That still reflects THEIR design ability. Off the top of my head, let's say he told them the judges were looking for face cages, so a contestant added a face cage. It could've been a shitty face cage. Crazy-pattern lady altered one of her designs, but it didn't work. NOT because Christian gave her a tip but because of her execution. God, I can't stand her work, God forgive me.

Well it sure wasn't everyday wear, and I thought a few pieces hideous, too, but I appreciated the purpose of the exercise. Honest to God, Chasity's design and her partner's painting was a true work of art. The execution was top-notch, and Mimi rocked it in every way. The gown was Paul Klee on the top, Claude Monet on the bottom. I thought my creativity had died, but they revived it.
Agreed. This group of designers has had the worst Runway shows I have seen in Project Runway history. Most everything on this runway looked like stuffed animals at the thrift store.
I hope the winner if it's a minority person will use the money to get out of the United States that persecutes them so terribly and go to the country of their choice, where they can become a rich, famous designer.

When artistic people express their talent it is based on their life experience. America is the land of opportunity but it is not a land of fairy tales. You thought everything was fine 4 years ago because you didn't know better. Everybody has a camera now and lots of stuff that was swept under the rug is now being put to light.
Absolutely the right team won this challenge but having said that I used to love watching Project Runway… such talented people creating amazing clothes and all deserve to succeed in their careers… but now all we are getting is non stop WOKE BS, who is and who isn’t a minority, using one’s ethnicity whether male or female to garner sympathy and getting rid of anyone that isn’t WOKE enough for the judges. So very disappointing.
