On Monday 21st February 2022, our darling Amani passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She had fought a 22month battle with brain cancer with the utmost grace, courage & determination.
This video shows her funeral held at ‎@Luton Central Mosque with thousands of mourners in attendance. Friends, family & those who had never even met Amani before travelled from all across the country to pay their respects.
Mourners described how peaceful they found Amanis funeral and one of the mosque teachers gave a heartfelt speech where he spoke of the positive impact Amani has had on others due to her podcasts, her campaigning & raising awareness about brain cancer.
Amanis life & death proves to be a stark reminder to us all that life is short and what is most important is the legacy we leave behind.
