I think you messed up on the professor's part. they said the professor is Carole Arne, and she was the "one" who cause the hollow. I do believe that they are connected, and when the story gets expanded, we will learn more about both chafacters.great video

My big annoyance about 1.2 is how it felt short. Even if it wasn't actually much shorter than other chapters, I feel like it was. My estimate was less than 3 hours to finish it up. A HUGE peeve was seeing the "2 Days Later" black screen that skipped us straight to the Tour de Inferno. I feel like we were told we were gonna practice for it then proceeded to do it off screen. Very lame. Something I think that harmed my experience is how easy the main story is. There's no challenge to any of it with the trial characters, though this time it's partly due to Caesar's shield making you not at all need to engage with enemies' movesets. It made Pompey very anti-climactic after a relatively short level that was mostly cutscene on an on-rails spectacle. As important as it is to have as many players as possible get through the story for events tied to later locations, there's so much narrative potency in having players overcome a difficult challenge, unfortunately, that just isn't the goal for ZZZ, which is pretty lame to me. What you said about Pearlman is true, and not even something I thought about, but definitely agree with. However, despite my dislike for the pacing and size, I think the overall story of this section of the story was fine. I definitely wish we got more character interactions BEFORE the finale. Cheesetopia was a lame way of getting some after-the-fact. Story aside, I feel like they coulda better used the motorcycle segment. It's a gimmick, sure, but I like the idea of having a mini/map and riding down different paths to different areas of the hollows. Actually feel like this interconnected level rather than a series of stages. I wouldn't mind something like that for a Hollow-Zero level, one with Pompey as the boss, because I do really like his moveset. It's fun when I'm not ignoring it entirely.

If consumers could truly wait and let them cook with longer patches for the dev team (84 days), then we could truly get a fleshed-out story with tons of more personalized characters and world building development. It's just the truth. We'll never truly see the full potential of any of these stories (ZZZ, HSR, Genshin) because they're Gacha games meant to make money, they're not complete RPGs.

The biggest flaw in 1.2 was in the mission section, chapter 4 only have a few in exploration and a ton in combat, and that QoL of auto the rewards was only for exploration missions, not combat mission, annoying because there were combat missions where I missed various chest.

Swordmaster appears to be a direct relation (mother or grandmother perhaps). She has a significant link to the Eridu and Phaethon lore. In addition, she states outright that Phaethon's professor would be considered an enemy of the military currently, so it's possible she will be in opposition to Phaethon in future story content. The professor Belle and Wise are after is Carole Arna who is implicated in the fall of Eridu from a decade ago. There is no indication yet that they studied under Professor Arche and it seems more like Arche went missing during the era of Hollow discovery rather than the fall of Old Eridu, so Belle and Wise probably never met them. He is the founder of their school. Fall of Old Eridu is slated around a decade ago based on people who were there, ages, Roaming the Ether diary also covers Diamond Squad member "Spacebar" caught up in the Hollow Zero expansion at the time. If you call their mother from the payphone after the event, it's stated that the number hasn't been used for 10 years. The establishment of the Void Hunters occurred during the era in which Hollows first appeared, which was much further back, but unclear how far (maybe 50+ years?) and involves the people responsible for figuring out how to deal with, navigate, harvest energy from them, etc covered in the Lore Teaser. I suspect Miyabi is not the only direct relation to this group but so far they haven't shown much more than this.
Thoughts as a new player. Content kind of dragged until lvl 40 when event was unlocked. TV land can be fun but often is a drag that I rush through. Unlocking Nest Blitz has been the most fun game mode and I'm looking forward to new tower mode. Lost standard by getting koleda (least desired) and her sig engine along with graces engine. But I got lucky unlucky by losing 50/50 at 15 to Rina, ensuring I could get atleast burnice. Ended up getting enough materials and winning next 50/50 along with engine. So in under 2 weeks I ended up with an almost perfect yanagi set up.
"Absolute Cinema" - talking about a comic strip panel... All joking aside (you are my favourite zzz content creator) the cutscenes at the end were indeed absolute cinema. The quality of this game seriously impresses me. The fact that nothing happened with Perlman really annoyed me. They just said "yeh we have him, but he is sleeping so you can't see him" despite us risking our lives for them. I was also disappointed like you were on the biking section. Could have been a lot more than an on rails, zero interaction mode, also no Akira bike slide. Missed opportunity. *SPOILERS* I loved the reveal on Belle and Wise's true purpose immediately jumping to a panel of Miyabi saying she wants to kill the person that they are looking for. Beautiful desktop wallpaper scenes too. Love your content. Please do more alternative stuff for us lowly F2P players. Pulling for Yanagi, but would love a guide on best F2P options for her team. Professor Arche is the founder of Helios Academy and is not Carole Arna, Wise & Belle's teacher. Carole Arna is disgraced as the cause of Hollow Zero and the fall of New Eridu. She was the senior research director, not the founder. Furthermore, Professor Arche is revered as a Void Hunter, whereas Carole Arna is on "The Pillar of Shame". Wise and Belle seek to clear Carole Arna's name by finding out what really happened, as they obviously don't believe that she was responsible for what happened.
After clearing ambush node I've been craving a chalenge hopefully THE TOWER will fullfil those cravings, also since 1.2 was in the middle of goddamn nowhere it kinda make sense the TV hacking mode not being necessary there.
glad im not the only one who thinks we should be able to take selfies as the agents in the overworld, currently you can only take photos, the button for selfie cam is there but it doesn't do anything, hopefully this means they're working on it. This is very much a massive pipedream, but i wish we could have some sort of trust/hangout system between agents, like being able to run around the world as billy and run into nicole and initiate a trust event similar to how you do currently with Belle/Wise.

Somehow many seem to forget that Belle and her brother are the main characters of the game. 🤔 And please don't get me wrong I like a lot of the characters but for me they were and are designed to be extras and combat characters and not to be used as main characters in their own right.
I was thinking more akin to supports from the fire emblem series, where your characters can build relationships with each other (and the MC) for combat bonuses.
i think ver.1 will be introduction all faction,it's not like Genshin or HSR you move to another Region/Planet,so I think we'll just get a few epic moments, but for gameplay and content I am very satisfied until this version,and in short the gameplay story, covered with lots of content in each version,so i don't have any problem with that (IMO)
As someone who joined a little less than 2 weeks ago and finished 1.2, I don't understand the hate for the TV segments. Maybe because I only play on PC while also the game being installed on my main NVMe SSD but the load times were fine. It makes me wonder if most of the people that complained about it were people that would rather have ZZZ be an open world(which I grown really bored of).
That's probably because the TV mode wasn't optimized. It would take time to load (not much, but still longer than now) and each and every event tile would zoom us up to it, further taking more time. Even while doing the event tile, there would be even more downtime until it's finished. So yeah, people complained because it was throwing the flow of combat and story right out the window. It was fine if you did it every once in a while, but doing it for 2 times to clear Hollow Zero just made it too tedious and a slog to go through.
I hope they do more with the bike riding, seems like such a waste to make that whole thing just for us to play for like 5 minutes and never touch it again.
Tl;dr - As for the stories of Hoyoverse games, it's because they're Gacha games and not true fleshed out MMORPG or AAA RPG games. 🤷🏻♀ - The pros and cons of a live service Gacha is that story beats CAN be absolutely better, but they just write and move onto the next patch since it's every 42 days or so. Side quests with each person, explore more of the outer ring, see more interactions with the characters, learn about the past and their way of life and how it differs from city folk, have bigger maps with more npcs, details, and interactions, have more story development and the history of the Tour de Inferno, have more cutscenes, spend more time learning about the rival gangs and even visit the oil fields and etc. But again, it's a Gacha game. 🥲
