Why do people dismiss old players and events so much now.....I don't mess with people with no sense of history. I'm a die hard 80's and 90's guy but honestly this was the most electrifying exhibition in NBA history.
Shaq always want to be taking credit for other peoples achievements. Lavine and Gordon brought their A+ game and then some. As for Chuck comparing Nique and Jordan vs Gordon and Lavine, all I can say is that people back then hadnt even seen an East bay dunk. If they saw one of the dunks that Lavine and Gordon performed people would of losts their shit.
+JL Gordon was more creative but won uses his Athletic ability his KAT dunk was insane as well as Gordon under both legs in my option those were tied for the best dunks if the night but Lavine won
If that’s the case players won’t even try to attempt any difficult dunks, might as well play it safe and do a weak and boring dunk u know u can make on the first try
Shaq is becoming almost a joke. Gordon didn't miss the first over the mascot dunk he just didn't complete it. Vince Carter didn't complete his first between the legs dunk either. In 88 Mike Missed his first free throw line dunk and made it the second time and got a 50.......
Dancing and gimmicks, props, and side show.... just do the damn Dunk! 1988 Dunk Contest was raw, and they Dribbled before taking off. Stop the comparison please. I blame Cedric Ceballos in 92 for this crap now. Most of yall are like who? Go back to 92 Dunk Contest between him and Larry Johnson.
These dunks were great (very difficult), but somehow I wasn't awe-inspired. Not sure why but there was some x-factor (maybe showmanship and flair) not present in these guys' performance.
you guys said that 88 is better than 16 dunk contest. I swear if it wasn't jordan and dominique it's a different story.
Shaq did the right thing, this dunk contest may not end up so exciting had not been Shaq giving them the pressure not to miss their dunks
Shaq knows how to make players raise their game
and that's what happened specially on 21 and 22
I 100% agree with Shaq you can't give a second attempt a 10
yep

this was the most creative dunk contest of all time

what are you talking about? he said you can't get a 10 for missing a dunk which makes sense lol
absolutely the best....let's not confuse legendary names with amazing dunks....this was the best ever!!
I was so lucky to watch this live
This is NBA history!!
Gordon got robbed, He clearly had the better dunks, just sayin'
+Samuel Silva Jr. Agreed the whole contest is about creativity and Gordon had the most never seen before creative dunks.

It was entertaining to watched last night no complains about it was enjoyable to watch at my home last night in my own opinion 😊
Anybody know the song playing in the background?
ernie was smooth with that one at the end lol
what's this song??!?!?!?!?
Vince Carter
I agree second attemp is a auto nine its not as shocking as if you blast that dunk the first try
What is it in boxing, and automatic point deduction for being knocked down... Same logic applies to missed dunks... (Or at least it should)
Shaq did the right thing.
I'll only saying Aaron Gordon he was truly impressive dunks last night rematch next year period
Aaron got robbed
'air' 'on' gordon
Yes!!!
Shaq is right. It definitely removes the surprise element and the beauty of the whole spectacle.

Jay Frazr really dude?
will they have a best Egg contest as well?
Dancing and gimmicks, props, and side show.... just do the damn Dunk!
