Whoever are designing these BSAs in Britain are getting it spot on, this bike is pure beauty on the eye. I get my Goldie march 1st, so it's now real. Think triumph is the next catch as Enfield has already been surpassed with style and elegance.
I hope this BSA is produced. I think it's gorgeous, and I'd love a 650cc single. In my youth I had a Yamaha XT500 and went to Portugal return [from North Yorkshire] three times and Greece return once. You could do it on this BSA. I like the offset dial. Nick J
Hi xorbe2, thanks for the comment. I thought it looked good too. Yes it's getting a bit dicey with BSA now isn't it. Will be over a year late from when they first promised bikes would arrive for customers...
Hi Ben thanks for the comment. I thought it was lovely at first glance too. Proportions are just right. I would love to review a Goldstar and I think a lot of us RUclipsrs are anxiously waiting for BSA to allow us on the bikes...
Thank you for the comment, could I suggest you look up the UK company Moore Speed Racing, you will see they have created a scrambler from the BSA Goldstar 650, it looks great IMO. Might be of interest to you!
That front mud guard is not adequate. Not enough coverage at the front and well, the rear is totally useless. The radiator is going to be caked in mud. Not much of a scrambler and that's only the front mudguard. Scrambler look but mafe for the road. I love the idea though 👍
I'm on the fence with BSA, I don't mind admitting that I did put my name down for a Goldstar but when it came to paying the £500 down payment something just stopped me. I think it was the slipping delivery deadlines that kept getting pushed back. I didn't really want a bike arriving in November, especially one in Chrome. I'd be excited to ride it and not have all that many chances. So I gave up my place in the list. Tbh I'm glad I did as they are now saying March for deliveries and that's over a year late, it doesn't bode well for those who have invested. Secondly Royal Enfield are going to have some lovely ways to relieve you of £7k in the next 6-12 months. You'll have all the reliability and dealerships you can want. That said I'm a sucker for an underdog and I do like the look of this Scrambler...
In the motorcycle business underdogs have a high failure rate. Under capitalization, poor cash flow, inability to maintain supplier relations, cost cutting that results in poor quality, abnormally high warranty claims, followed by bankruptcy/receivership. Past experience has taught me that when a startup shows just a handful of bikes with no ability to follow up with product they are already in the hole as far as bringing their product to market. When you spend precious cash on making “concept” bikes without production bikes you’re red flagging yourself. Just my take.
Well I bought a Chinese motorcycle which is a pig to work on even at a specialist shop due to the bikes inherently bad design and the UK importer has ceased the relationship with the brand so I'm left with a bike probably of depreciated value, hard to obtain spare parts and no dealer support. My next bike will be from a major brand, hell it might as well be a Honda, get the highest selling 2 wheeler company. As much as the BSA does tug the retro chord for me, it's probably got to be a RE or a triumph or something retro but very well established. Other RUclipsrs reported that at the show BSA weren't very interested in talking about the bikes just logging as many pre-orders as they could get... a bit of a warning sign.
I would buy one now !!!
Thanks for the comment Jeribimin, its just a prototype now but its a lovely looking bike thats for sure!

Thanks for the comment. Glad your happy with the bike and it's coming just in time for spring! I'm a bit jealous it has to be said. Thanks 👍
That is simply a killer looking bike!
It is isn't it! I don't think you'll be able to order one for quite some time unfortunately ☺️

I do not see a problem with more plastic. Means less weight. Scrambler bikes manufacturers should be obssessive about the weight of their bikes.
Where are the turn indicators, pillion foot pegs and licence plate holder?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
This was a video from 2022, the prototype, we will be looking at the road bike today at the launch 😀
It looks _really_ good, but BSA needs to actually ship some bikes.

Lovely looking bike, I'll not hold my breath though! Still awaiting actual reviews for the Gold Star........any day now.....

@@MindfulMotorcyclist I can see a few RUclipsrs reviewing the Goldie since the past couple of days
This BSA is cannon! The same in 4 cyl +-900cc and I buy.
Cannon is good?
@@MindfulMotorcyclist Very good 10/10 😉
@@MindfulMotorcyclist The expression in French (canon) it's terrible 😉
I will buy this if its launch in india
Nice bike isnt it, I think some way off production at this point however.
How about the rotax motor quality?
chain on RHS...?? tubeless wheels...???
Hi Russell, thanks for the comment. Is it a negative to have the chain on that side? Cheers.
The radiator looks a lot better on this bike
Hi Owen, I agree it does. Looks made for this one...
A Single Cylinder engine? Won't it vibrate a lot? 🤔🤔
It does, that's part of the character 👍😀
@MindfulMotorcyclist So would it be pleasant to go on long ride with a bike which vibrates constantly at certain speed? I mean riding on highways.
The world loses if this bike doesn't launch.
BSA fan then 😃. I suspect we will see something from BSA at Motorcycle Live... Fingers crossed it's the scrambler. .
I be waiting for BSA arrive in the United States or I buy the regular BSA and modify it to Scramblers

Ok thank you I look into that
Is that good for off-road
It's a concept bike...
seat hight ?
825 I think...
You can't buy a new Goldstar and we're talking about a scrambler show bike?
I might just add a little to the above: 'You can't buy [or demo] a new Goldstar and [so] we're talking about a Scrambler show bike 😁
I'm with you friend walk before you run

It's a nice bike , but I think it should have 6 speed gearbox ..5 Speed is too outdated
The radiator seems to be without shelter from water and gravel,......
Why are you showing a modified model instead of a standard model?
That is a 2 year old video... that bike is only a prototype... new video is up too
Who designed the scrambler
BSA designed this one but it didn't get put into production. There are a number of custom builds from MooreSpeed Racing among others...
Can we get the name right at least? Golstar?????
Ask and you shall receive! Title edited thanks for the pointer 😊
looks crap to me, show pony if ever I saw one. BSA will go broke!
Fair enough, each to there own. I quite like it. On the last point you might be right... Gold star is taking ages to be available.
I’m in the non-believer camp. Until bikes hit the showroom floor it’s all just “let’s dress up and play motorcycle” fantasy.
