Թանահատ Tanahat Armenia

Թանահատի վանք, վաղ միջնադարյան եկեղեցական համալիր Հայաստանի Վայոց ձորի մարզի Վերնաշեն գյուղից մոտ 7 կմ հարավ-արևելք։ Պատմիչները հիշատակում են 8-րդ դարից։ Կոչվել է նաև Կարմիր վանք՝ կարմիր քարից կառուցված լինելու պատճառով։ Վանքը կառուցվել է հեթանոսական մեհյանի տեղում, որը նվիրված է եղել հայոց աստվածուհի Անահիտին։ 5-րդ դարում այստեղ հիմնադրվել է քրիստոնեական տաճար։ Վանքին կից սփռված է վաղ միջնադարյան գերեզմանատունը։ Թանահատի վանքը գործել է մինչև ուշ միջնադար և այժմ լավ վիճակում է։
Թանահատ - բարձրաքանդակ և վիմագրություն
Ըստ պատմիչ Ստեփանոս արքեպիսկոպես Օրբելյանի, 735 թվականին Թանադե վանքում ամփոփել են Ստեփանոս Սյունեցու դին և գերեզմանի վրա փոքրիկ մատուռ կառուցել։ 1273-1279 թվականներին մատուռի տեղում, Պռոշ իշխանի և նրա ընտանիքի հովանավորությամբ, շրջակայքի բնակիչների ուժերով մուգ կապտավուն բազալտի սրբատաշ քարերով կառուցվել է ներքուստ խաչաձև, չորս անկյուններում ավանդատներով (արևելյան կողմինները՝ երկհարկ), արտաքուստ ուղղանկյուն, գմբեթավոր հորինվածքով սուրբ Ստեփանոս եկեղեցին։
Tanahati Monastery, an early medieval church complex, about 7 km southeast of Vernashen village, Vayots Dzor Marz, Armenia[2]. Narrators mention it from the 8th century. It was also called the Red Monastery because it was built of red stone. The monastery was built on the site of a pagan mehyan, which was dedicated to the Armenian goddess Anahit. A Christian temple was founded here in the 5th century. The early medieval cemetery is scattered next to the monastery. The Tanahati Monastery functioned until the late Middle Ages and is now in good condition.

According to the historian Stepanos Archbishop Orbelyan, in 735 the body of Stepanos Syunets was buried in the Tanade monastery and a small chapel was built over the grave. In the years 1273-1279, on the place of the chapel, under the patronage of Prince Prosh and his family, the St. Stepanos Church was built with dark bluish basalt hewn stones, internally cross-shaped, with vaults in the four corners (the eastern ones are two-story), externally rectangular, with a domed structure.
