I love watching your unboxings. It's like the holidays are here and I get to unwrap pretty, shiny things. You are so creative. I would not have thought to use that tree as a 3 strand connector on a bracelet. I wonder if you might explain when to use a wire guardian and when it is OK to go without. I'm guessing with a thicker wire and lightweight beads it is probably not needed. Do you have any rule about using them? Thank you for another wonderful video!
Hi Rose! I made jewelry for many years without ever knowing what a wire guardian was so I don’t think it is a necessity but I use them sometimes… they add a metal presence and they dictate the size that my loop will be so I skipped it on this piece because I wanted the bead strands to come off of the tree seamlessly and I wanted the tiniest possible loops. I don’t really have a rule but in my little beaded people video the wire guardians were perfect at the top of the hats and definitely added security to those pieces 💕💕💕
They make great tassels and I do embroidery for my own brooches and pendants with silk ribbons, various fibers, threads and beads so they are great for that… you should see my little thread bags!
