Hi! Great video :) Do you know if WSU still does the unit failure condition? The link is not working and I cannot find anything online about it. Thanks!
Hi there! Im not sure what you mean by unit failure condition, but I’m assuming it’s about the maximum amount of time you can fail a unit before you get rejected from the course. That would be 3 times. The first time you fail they’ll outline the condition for you and what you can do from there.
Hi! thank you for your reply, I was talking about what you began explaining at 6:39 - you stated that the first time you fail a unit (and you showed it on the WSU website), it will be converted to withdrawal without academic penalty and will not be counted towards GPA, but I cannot find the page where it says this online at all. Also, on the 'GPA calculator' page for WSU it says to include your fail grades to your GPA score as well, so do you think the policy may have changed? Thank you for your help and your reply!
@@rominacarbone7080 hi there! Thanks for clarifying. Have a look at this one: www.westernsydney.edu.au/currentstudents/current_students/enrolment/adding,_dropping_and_changing_units/withdrawing_without_academic_penalty It shows you what it is about and how it works. The policies for withdrawing without academic policy was a bit different during Covid because during that the uni understands that the students may not be studying properly by studying online instead of face to face. It has been different since then indeed. You can only be successful with your application if you have circumstances related to the ones they listed in that website, only then will it not be counted towards your GPA because it is “without academic penalty”, meaning it doesn’t count towards GPA.
@@henrytranvlog8233 thank you so much for this it helps so much! I'm assuming that applying for this would mean retaking the course right? Thank you again!
I want to study at Griffith University but I really don't understand the whole GPA because in Europe we don't use it. Our grades are from 0 to 10, for example I have a 9.2, that would be a 7.0 gpa?
So each school is different. At western we use a 7.0 GPA and that would be the highest. It will be the same as 10.0 for you. If you have a 9.2 then it would be 6.72 here
Hi brother. I watched your video i have a doubt hope you can clear to my doubt i got one D and another i got CF I don't know what is Cf can you help me
CF means Compulsory Fail, meaning that you have failed the exam or assessment that has a minimum passing threshold. For example, if the exam requires you to pass with a 44/100, but you got a 43/100, you have a compulsory fail. It would still be a fail.
Hi I wanna ask so avg mark if we waNt achieve GPA 5.5 Henry so must have score 8.0 ??? My daughter get scholarship but Must have 5.5 GPA . I get confused how to calculate . Are u indo?
I'm not indo, but for western sydney, maximum GPA is 7.0. 5.5 GPA is pretty good and it would be the requirement for scholarship. If your daughter has been studying in western before, then she can follow the gpa calculation link here: wsu.service-now.com/student?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0012309
Hey bro, I watch your videos. As your’e an experienced campaigner pls help me out here! I was in UTS and joined WSU yesterday WITH ADVANCED STANDING but the subjects I got advanced standing (which they wrote on my offer letter), aren’t there when I go to the website of recommended units for International Business. Whereas they had asked me my preferred major before providing me with the advanced standing. I have emailed them about it, what do you think might have happened and might happen now? Do you think this might get fixed or no? I wouldn’t have joined WSU on the first place if I knew I wouldn’t receive full of my credits :v Best Wishes.
I’m not really sure of this system so I don’t think I’ll be able to help you out much. But I think it’s best to follow the Uni’s instructions going forward because they’ll be able to help you fix that problem. This isn’t my area of specialty since I haven’t really had that problem. But really hope it works out for you though!!!
Bro, I had hd, d, d, c last sem but I didn’t apply gpa neutral for the credit one… sad! But what’s the catch of gpa neutral? Too good to be true… like any negative effect?
No negative effect. Besides the fact that it takes abit of effort to actually fill out the form. The uni had this to help out the students so if you have a credit I definitely urge you to apply. I’m not sure if you can fill out the form during this time since last sem is over, but no harm to ask and try. It should still work. Good work tho!!!!
