- This video shows a PS5 DualSense controller working wirelessly on the PS3 with no lag. As you can see in the video it works beautifully on PS3, PS2 and PS games, the haptic feedback feels particularly smooth.
In the future, Sony should update this console to allow full-on frontwards compatibility. Imagine how much money people could save from search for a genuine ps3 controller

“Save money”? No. Sony doesn’t want you to save money. That’s a conflict of interest. It’s a business, not a charity.
@Duncan MacLeod it’s called expecting people to upgrade. Just like apple doesn’t make parts for the iPhone 1, Samsung doesn’t make parts for the galaxy s3, Microsoft doesn’t make parts for the original Xbox. It’s not a disregard for their customers, it’s just that it’s not that hard to type “ps3 controller” into google and go to Amazon and click order.
I bought a PS5 last October and a PS3 last November. For some reason, I've spent more time playing with the PS3 with time tested "classics" and masterpieces. And with this video, I will spend more time with it lol. With 500 bucks, you can get a whole freaking library of Ps3 games together with the console lol. I got used to the loading times. Its not that bad.
why would anyone spend 500 bucks on a PS3 lol, you can get one under 50 bucks and jailbreak it and get any game u want ( I have ps3 games ps2 ps1 and any emulator) every single game for free

I had 2 of them die on me as well! Ended up buying my friends super slim for $40 a few years ago, but without a controller so all I’ve had is the ps4 one
2010 when ps3 came out I spent a complete year trying to save up for the slim version and love my ps3 hope to buy a second hand since lots of games refuse to move to ps5

It really is an amazing system. It can play PS1, PS2, PS3, DVD, Blu-Ray, and CDs. Its the ultimate home console and if you have only 1 hdmi port the PS3 should fill that space.

Bro my ps3 from 2011 still going strong its may 2022 , I plugged my shit in cause my wifi was tripping and I had ALL the bootlegs saved to the storage that shit still there in tact it's amazing .
I just got a firmware update for mine a month ago. The store still has ps1, ps2 games etc.
Same here I had it since 2011 still going strong I recently upgrade my default ps3 hard drive(160gb) with my ps4 harddrive(500gb).

I did this with my dualsemse as soon as I got it but now after all these firmware updates, it's not working when I launch the game (max payne 3)

Is there any solution(like a script or some kind of sensitivity settings to modify) to the sticks issue on PS3 with some games? For example, in the Uncharted games, when pushing the left analog stick all the way to the edge(up, down, left, right), the character does not move at full speed and acts as if you're only pushing them slightly. And in the Ratchet and Clank collection, it's the same thing, but with diagonal movement instead. Aiming in the Killzone games also feels really off, but it's more difficult to test since it could just be a quirk of those games.
I've tested this with multiple different controllers(including other Playstation and Xbox controllers) and this is the case with all of them. It seems to be an issue with the PS3 controller having a marginally wider range of motion with the sticks and none of the other controllers can reach it. So where any other standard controller would have a range of 100(pushing the stick as far as it can go would be hitting 100), the PS3 controller has a range of 115 or something, and the other controllers fall short. It doesn't behave like this in all games, but a few that I've tried and it basically makes certain games unplayable.

I had 3 ps3 original controllers. They all broken. I still fixed two of them but I broke them again. Does anybody knows why sony stopped manufacturing them? Just wished I could buy one again!

Magic NS firmware should have been updated last December to support both motion and Rumble, have you not updated the firmware?
I use the Mayflash s pro with USB- C cable for ps5 controller and ps button works and rubble . Update to 1.10 and my PS3 is fantastic.

Recently bought this with the blutooth module and can the dualsense works with ps2 disc classics. Going to try the dualshock 4 next. You can't turn on your console with it btw. Not sure how many controllers at one time either. Will test another day, I'm working

The headphone jack does work but it doesnt work audio like ur not getting any sound to it but u can plug mics into that port and it works fine

Does Gran Turismo 5 work with the DualSense when plugged in through the Mayflash adapter? As of writing, they don’t have any Titan 2 adapters on Amazon.
Wouldn't know about the PS 5 controller but the PS4 controller definitely does NOT work on GT5 or Burn out paradise on ps3

You don't need an adapter. Just goto add Bluetooth device and hold down the start and ps button until the ps5 Controller goes into pairing mode.... that's all. NO ADAPTER NEEDED!!!!

I just found a cheap adapter £20 on Amazon called ds50 they told me ps5 controller fully supports rumble and six axis functions and ps button works and it’s wireless I will give it a shot and buy it

did the ps3 controller have different vibrations in games, i was playing fallout 3 using the dualsense controller connected to my titan one through bluetooth, anyways, playing fallout and gtav use different vibe frequency's, from swinging a sword to using a chainsaw on metal, contrete or human remains, the vibrations have different strengths, its crazy how i never noticed on the ps3 controller, but 2 gens and one midrefresh and its a different game park.
