- Connecting a LED tube to an old light fitting. This light fitting is from the 90s and still good to use as a holder for a LED tube.
Because of the low heat output of the LED tube this fitting should last just about for ever! - Хобби
Best video between all the videos I searched for. It made it clear simple and easy many thanks
Never had a chance to replace fluorescent with the LED tubes, but would most likely burn couple of those before realizing that they must be placed in the sockets in a certain order. Thanks for the video, good job.
Neatly explained, no hassle..!
Very well explained. Good video. Kidos to you👌👍
Thanks so much. You helped me out
Nice video indeed how did you earth the third wire please let me know thanks
Hi. Most of the old and new metal fittings have a little tab where a connector slides over and screws onto. It you have a plastic fitting,no earth is needed.
If you have a meral one with no earth tab. Drill a hole in the metal and put a nut and bolt through to fasten the earth wite. Groete
Nice👌
Thank you so much
Dankie man, but how did you earth it? Could you please show us how you did it.
Thanks very much for your video. I will give it a bash.
Thanks, it was so easy and saved me a ton of bucks. Mooi man!👍
4:35 I received a new type that has the fuse, will the tube burn out if I don't use the fuse that they sent with? Is it to protect the LED or actually just to help with conversion without having to remove the fuse socket?
In my opinion/experience the fuse will not protect the LED tube from "burning out". If the LED tube reached the end of it's live span it will blow/burn out.
I think the fuse will blown and keep the rest of the circuit from tripping inside the distribution board. (in some cases)
Thank you for the great video! What if at the time of replacement of LED tube , i swap the ends of the led tube i.e the end with writtings with the end with no writtings, what will happen, kindly?
Hi. The one side that should have no power is shorted. So putting in the wrong way will cause a dead short between Live and Neutral....
Not good 😊
@@p0we111 Thanks
@@p0we111 but why should it just be left open?
@@Le_VisN one side of the LED tube requires Live on one pin and Neutral on the other.
The other side has no power and is just there to hang in the existing holders. No power to that one side.
@@p0we111 OK
Basically what you are saying is, JUST CONNECT THE NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE WIRE TO ONE SIDE TUBE HOLDER.
Не надо балласт убирать, он не влияет на работу светоиодной лампы. Достаточно стартер вытащить.
fuck so i need to do this the seller of led tube said to me that i only need to remove the starter then plug it now it smell like burn shit
Removing the starter will just break the circuit
