Dear Richard After getting my PhD recently I was really struggling to find a new job (you might think it's surprising but I was unemployed for 8 months!). I am a mix of Autocratic, affiliate, democratic and transformation. As a Strategic leader in police there are times where strict command and control is required. However to achieve my outcomes i need multiple workgroups to work together for the optimal results as a consequence my leadership enhances this collaboration. I try to involve most of my managers to contribute in the decision making process, reciprocally I encourage these managers to do the same with their staff, thus transformation continues with the way my teams engage with victims, perpetrators and minorities professionally threading respect and empathy through every interaction.

Hello Richard my management style is combination of the autocratic, democratic and coaching when i am and my team under pressure and catching tight deadlines i will take autocratic style, when pressute is gone or not to high i'll take democartic style and during both period I am coaching expecially team members which are underaverage to keep up with other members of team!

Dear Richard, I do appreciate your channel. However, 7 leadership styles - to me - are probably 4 too many...😀😊 In my humble opinion, there are basically three leadership styles - usually referred to as the 3 Ds (Directing - Discussing - Delegating) and all the rest are just variations of those... With kind regards Chris
I found what works for me. But that scripted part I disagree with. The purpose of a leadership style which can also be one's management style is to actually incorporate it along with the rest of your skill set in a work environment and during real life situations. You can't script real life.
Be yourself and answer honestly, but hopefully my content can help those that are more than capable of doing the job well, but aren't good at interview technique and cannot portray that they have the skillset.

However, 7 leadership styles - to me - are probably 4 too many...😀😊
In my humble opinion, there are basically three leadership styles - usually referred to as the 3 Ds (Directing - Discussing - Delegating)
and all the rest are just variations of those...

I found what works for me. But that scripted part I disagree with. The purpose of a leadership style which can also be one's management style is to actually incorporate it along with the rest of your skill set in a work environment and during real life situations. You can't script real life.
Be yourself and answer honestly, but hopefully my content can help those that are more than capable of doing the job well, but aren't good at interview technique and cannot portray that they have the skillset.
I hope your next content is, DESCRIBE HOW PEOPLE KNOW THEY CAN COUNT ON YOU TO FOLLOW THROUGH
