The sad part is you're exactly right too. That's exactly what would've happened if 3650 just dropped dead or some shit just before reaching the Borealis. Really is fucked how despite going above and beyond the call of duty for the Combine and displaying genuine loyalty to them and their cause, they were all too happy to just string Aiden along with the false promise of finally giving him his Civil Protection perks (which he still hasn't gotten despite being AN OVERWATCH ELITE when we see firsthand that other metrocops got their perks despite being way less effecient/useful than him) topped off by wanting to turn him into another mindless, memoryless drone once the job was done. All this in mind makes *FINALLY* getting to kill an Advisor all the more cathartic.
@@lolrus5555 combine soldiers aren't mindless drones. they have free will, they just are indoctrinated and have their memories wiped. I hate when people compare combine soldiers to mindless drones, its completely untrue and ruins the horror of knowing that they have been completely brainwashed, and despite the fact they technically have free will, they are unable exercise it because life in service of the the combine is all they know. imagine if you saw all this horrific stuff, but you didn't know how bad you really had it because that's all you've ever known, that's the life of a combine soldier.

I don't think it's a beta voicechanger. The EZ1 metrocop vocoder was from valve (Voicelines from hl2's beta) and the REAL EZ2 vocoder is a private one that only the voice actor has.

Это элитный комбайн в тело которого запихнули разум метрокопа. Так что технически это канон, но как бы не канон. Хотя впрочем Valvы сами переписывали канон столько раз что без дозы тут не разобраться.
