  • Doug Wood, one of the original atomic filmmakers who worked for Lookout Mountain Laboratory in the Hollywood Hills. LML was a secret film studio for the US Air Force and the US Dept of Energy for making documentary films about nuclear weapons and nuclear testing. Doug talks about his first time experience in a plane photographing an atomic bomb test.

    Now imagine that some people believe he saw the bones due to the ionizing radiation like if they can't imagine that it was actually caused by the intense flash of light. I took me a great effort to explain it to my friend and I'm not even sure if I was 100% successful. Just what kind of nonsense some people are able to believe. 😩

      What are you expecting? People believe in immaculate conception, flat earth, chemtrails or HAARP... 😀

      Yeah. But its not evident without a bit of knowledge specific to fireball physics. Explaining relative brightness with numbers like trillions loses meaning. Just say that its so bright that it shines right through you. Maybe mention that anyone getting the full x-ray effect is now a collection of subatomic particles spread across a few miles.
