Camping at Lighthouse County Park in Michigan's Thumb

Lighthouse County Park is a quiet campground on the shores of Lake Huron in Michigan's Thumb region, and as the name implies, it even has a lighthouse from 1857 that you can visit. Too often, people think about private campgrounds and state parks, but counties are offering some nice spots in Michigan, too, so don't dismiss them as an option when looking for a camping spot.
