    You teach yourself which shows talent but you play with a flat hand position, not even that, your left wrist is below the level of the keys and that's incorrect. Incorrect hand position and flat fingers affect note execution, tone production and in the long term may cause injury.

      I understand what you are saying and it is noted, but this is mostly due to his height. The stool is maxed out, but it's still a little short. As he grows, his seating position will change and so will his hands. However, when you speak to a child there are nicer and more appropriate ways to advise instead of being thoughtlessly critical.

      my piano teacher plays with flat hands also. it's just a preference. round hand is an academic standard, but not the only correct way
