I wonder if the hosts don't have big friend groups? I don't have 12 members like The8, but my group of friends, the six of us have known each other for 20+ years. As we've gotten older, we don't hang out as much anymore, but when we do, it's like The8 said, it's time the we use to catch up and tell each other everything. There's no hesitation or awkwardness in telling my friends in a group setting what I've been up to. I feel like the male host, he seems skeptical that Seventeen view each other like friends rather than coworkers.
The hosts debating what to call The8 at first was okay because they've never met him, but in Korea, he's The8 and in China, he's Xiao ba (Little 8) so if they did enough research they'd know and him telling them what is more comfortable for him and they keep pressing him to change it for them is weird. Also, Seventeen is the one of the groups with such a large number of people, and they've been together for so long, asking such questions was obviously uncomfortable for The8. They've been through ups and downs together and everyone knows they have a good relationship altogether.❤️❤️
SEVENTEEN is not the only group w such there are so many groups .. The hosts are two very introverted and shy people and that’s basically the interesting part of that show from the beginning. And minghao is the first kpop group member going to that show so they are very interested about his life.
i love the fact that 🐸the8🐸 is explaining his fans not to buys those cards and simply print them....... he is nice coz he doesn't want his fans to spend money just to collect this stuff.😊😊😊
I’m not sure if it was for entertainment or personal judgement but it seems the hosts are closed minded. We live in a world with billions of people, there will be different emotional connections. Some people will have no problem connecting with a large group of friends others will. It’s such a simple premise. Just because a friendship has strong connections there is no need to compare it to a romantic relationship. If I have misunderstood I apologise, just giving my opinion.
is good friendship between a big group not normalized in china? the hosts mindset here is very questionable.. maybe they don't get that these type of friendships especially in kpop groups are really normalized and more so very common
They don’t know kpop groups at all and you can see from the beginning where they asked very basic questions about kpop. They are also introverted people and the concept of this show is inviting their close friends to home. Just that nowadays they invite people they know for the first time.
I really hope that you guys won't have a bad impression towards the hosts after watching this. They only know the8 and jun from svt not totally the whole group. I get that most of you are baffled as to why they repeatedly ask abt what's the difference between their monthly meetings and usual gathering, as carats we understand it better than everyone with no explanation needed, but they are not so they finding it hard to understand how the8 and svt relationship works. The Chinese ENT industry have a big circle of friends actually but most of it are for business and work promotion and the idol group there is relatively short live after the debut. So its understandable that they are new to svt relationship on and off cam going strong for almost a dacade. Seeing joshua and s.coups photo cards are pure happiness coz Chinese ent industry rarely and almost impossible to show the person not native on camera so it was unexpected 💜💜💜
But as hosts, it is important to read or study about the invited guest/s. How can they ask high-quality questions or pick topics if they did not read about the guests? Especially if the guest is globally known, it would be embarrassing on the part of the show and the hosts.
