Hi! What software are you using for removing the background? Love the vids!😊

Thanks! I am using an old version of Photoshop, but any photo editing software that supports layers will do - I would suggest Gimp as a free option.

What is the point of doing the photoshop step if Foundry automatically converts my png to webp and I lose the transparancy everytime... I'm going crazy over this.. cant make a simple balcony!
How do you even upload your image without it being converted??

Hey there! Apologies, I missed this comment. As far as I am aware, Foundry does not convert png files to webp - in fact, I am using a third party script to do so for my files. Webp files support transparency, so even if that happens, you shouldn't lose any detail! If you are losing transparency, I guess there is something off in the process. You may try replying to this comment with maybe a few screenshots of issues you are having (like a link to a Imgur page); or try reaching out to the good people on the Foundry VTT discord core usage channel - plenty of knowledgeable and helpful people!

How the hell do you do this? I am a first time DM. I don’t have thousands of images on my laptop. I have watched dozens of videos and am so frustrated that I’m ready to give up all together. How can these content creators say this is easy or simple when they don’t actually demonstrate anything that is simple or easy. FFS!
Am I really supposed to spend the money to confirm the fact that I have no idea what the hell I’m doing and can’t lean it in the time that I have?

Hey there! Dungeon Alchemist *is* simple, but the rest of this procedure is not if you are unfamiliar with all the tools involved. In fact, Foundry itself is not the simplest VTT (by far).
But don't give up! If you are just starting out with VTTs and DMing, I would recommend you to have a look at www.reddit.com/r/battlemaps/ for thousands of high quality free to use map images; and you can check out www.owlbear.rodeo/ for a free to use VTT that is more or less a virtual whiteboard without all the bell and whistles of other VTTs (just load your map, add tokens from the right hand sidebar and roll some dice)!

@@ThatItalianGuySA thank you so much. I did discover Dungeoncraft after my rant and it seems much more manageable than anything else so far. I will check out those links. Thank you so much.

@@ThatItalianGuySA just went on Reddit. Using those images with what I can do through dungeon craft, is a huge step for me. Thank you again.
