Every single one of these moments were incredible. The car wash riffs were especially a nice surprise I did not expect them from her. The d5's were really well done.
The ending run in Car Wash sounds A LOT like the ending run she did for Come On Over during the Xperience, just a half tone lower. It sounds so soulful
I know she has incredible moments from previous years, but her musicality really got better with her runs and riffs Yes, she does a lot, but it's better placed now. And we love an oversinging queen
I feel like Christina hasn’t been active lately, which is why there isn’t much videos to be seen. Hopefully with her new EP and the one that’s about to come, we will get more performancesn
I'm not hearing "clarity, I'm hearing distortion, grit and tension. I love her and her style but it's peculiar that C5 seems to be an upper limit for her. on a voice with so much range. Moment's like 4:59 make me wonder if she's intentionally doing something to sound that way or intentionally straining to achieve that texture.
She has literally demonstrated and spoken about this multiple times. It is 100% intentional, distortion is an actual technique. All the tensions and distortion you're hearing is purely stylistic and 100% a choice. C5 is in no way shape or form an upper limit for her, she hit's a lot of c#5's and d5's and some eb5's during every show.
@@bengrace1670 That's fine but I guess it just makes me question why she would want to limit her voice in such a way. I'm aware that she's not the first singer who intentionally distorts their voice in somewhat dangerous ways, but the others tend to be singers who sing incorrectly because they don't have Christina's talent. She's the only very good singer I've ever know to actually seek a strained sound but if she likes the polarizing sound, I guess more power to her.
@@bengrace1670 It is not always a choice though. In 2019 her C#5's in ANOM run were becoming crystal clear, and now they are raspy again and her D5's are especially raspy and have much lower volume. Sometimes even with the mic right by her mouth they are barely audible. She is clearly not in amazing vocal condition compared to three years ago.
@@LitrallyAJ The fact she doesn't always use distortion on the anom note is a clear sign that it is intentional. Regardless, you can very clearly tell that it's intentional from the fact that it's full, open, controlled, on pitch, sustained without cracking and quite often uses a natural vibrato even though it's distorted. You would know that if you knew anything about what she's doing. If you notice she doesn't always do the riff the same, does that mean the riffs are all an accident? No of course not. She sometimes does it all in one breath, sometimes she breaks up the breath, does that mean That's an accident? No of course not. Someone not doing something the exact same every time they do it is not a sign of anything other than they don't always do that thing the exact same everytime they do it. You're point is baseless. Also she is always audible. To say Christina Aguilera is barely audible is like saying a cat is a spaceship. It's ridiculous.
@@Sloppyjoey1 The distortion she places on a c5 is not in anyway dangerous. It's not produced by straining, it's produced by a different engagement. It would only be dangerous if she didn't know what she was doing but she very clearly does, so it's perfectly fine. She isn't limiting her voice by using distortion. She's still belting above those notes with relative ease. The it's a man's world eb5 belts and the d5's in lady marmalade and car wash are clear proof of that. It's not limiting it's just a different approach. One that you may not appreciate but that doesn't automatically mean it's bad.
Crazy how she’s still killing these vocals after 30+ years in the industry 😭
Ikr. She still thinks she’s that girl from Stripped and thats what I love about her, her spirit never fades
It's been 25 years since her debut. If you're counting the disney channel time , don't cause it doesn't impact her actual musical career.
Xtina is one of the greatest vocalists of all time and a voice of a generation.

Where were E5s in Carwash?
There is no E5 in car wash
@@Ernstmithrandir That's legit a typo lol it was meant to say d5 haha. Thanks for pointing it out.
@@samueleemiliani9036 I'm aware it was a typo honey.
Her existence makes me happy

That second somos nada clip was insane. Sounded like it belonged on b2b
I LOVE HER I LOVE HER I LOVE HER!!!!!! SHE IS THE BEST, THE ONE & ONLY.
Can we just talk about the mic distance @0:32 that is incredible! PS: the classic red mic really enhances her sound.
