It’s no surprise, Fromsoft are masters at making that first boss teach you the game mechanics on the fly in such a fun way. It killed me 3 times before I realized I needed to be right on it, or underneath to avoid getting bombarded
@proggz39 same. Died twice, and thought to myself "wait, this is FromSoft, I either need to be more aggressive or out-manoeuvre it." Out pacing it's movement was out of the question because it leaves the combat area, so I stuck to it like glue while I could and barely got a scratch. I've only ever played AC For Answer before this one, and I can barely remember that.
Thank you for your Tutorial Vid. It explained a lot. This is my first AC game and the learning curve is definitely there. That first boss took me quite a few attempts as I was still getting use to the controls. Going to enjoy watching your future videos as I progress through the game just like when Dark Souls came out. AC6 Fires of Rurikhan :)
Funny enoigh as an AC vet this one got me a couple.times. i primarily have experience with gen 4 and 5 so i was trying to both boost like 4 and wallkick like 5. Proximity go walls + carpet bombing meant + no energy from dash spam meant stagger into death lol.
I'm not saying for certain, but it's possible he looked up some kind of guide since most of them suggest using melee, and there's a cut in the video before he suddenly changes tactics. I'm not even saying that would be illegitimate, just it might not be a simple case of learning from mistakes. (If he did figure it out on his own, respect to him, since I probably wouldn't have)
I am the furthest you can get from being a Mecha fan (though some of the Gundam anime are fun) but this looks surprisingly interesting. Enough so that I'd consider renting it.
sounds almost like my run, boss took me out once, i said f'k it can i smack this thing....oh look at all that stagger... aight we got this. Then spent over an hour changing my paint job and making decals 😅
Fromsoft really love their walls. Took me 18 tries I replayed this mission over and over until I could S rank it. Took a while but I'm used to the game now as a result. Ended up killing him with base equipment in about 30 seconds.
Took me about 3 tries. Remembered it was FromSoft so I got aggressive and stayed glued to it. Worked like a charm barely got a scratch the 3rd time. Edit: The Sea Spider on the other hand... I got stubborn with my tank build. Forced myself to kill it with that build rather than restart the mission to buy parts.
So where did you get your name from? I know that’s kind of random but I’ve always wondered this and my ADHD is kicking my ass right now, so I went into the comments and here we are.
I made one change to the controls. I swapped QB and Assault Boost. Having QB and movement on one thumbstick for me made dodging more efficient. I did this on ACV
That boss ruined me multiple times before I finally landed the kill.

You should dip your toes in the first game just to feel how obtuse it is even compared to this at first lol
Oh yeah finally I can watch these, I will certainly have a good time through this new journey
You're handling those controls with ease! The last AC game that I beat was Nexus so I have to learn the new mechanics. After that I should be okay.
hank you for being part of the Armored Core community after all these years!

Fires of Rurikhan
Enjoy Ruri! I won't get my copy for a few days but plan on watching these later!
If only more people could play like you and learn from their losses that playing around stagger and melee is the key to this boss.

Much want but I need to get BG3 instead 😢
Tbh had to drop my bg3 playthrough to play AC6 and I don't see myself going back to bg3 for a while, this is so much more fun.

No sense not doing the training missions on camera
Training missions are not that interesting, they are tutorials in virtual spaces.
@@rurikhan Ohh
This game looks so boring
watching it, yea i can see that. playing it though does feel so satisfying
I felt the same way until i actually played it
