Could you please make a guide to what to wear as a wedding guest? I'm going to my first wedding next month and I really don't have a clue what to wear! A bit of inspiration would be greatly appreciated. Xx
Isobel_ Katie21 Debenhams and Lipsy London do some great dresses you could wear as a wedding guest. Also depending on your budget I'd say try Needle and Thread dresses, they are gorgeous. It depends on your style too. Hope that helps x
consider the theme of the wedding and how formal it is, too. Like if it's a garden wedding, beach wedding or something very formal. Just remember not to wear white or off-white!
I use the same exact nail brand when I went to the nail salon today. It looks so good on me I luv it. I will be definitely be wearing this brand more often
I love the Sally Hansen Ping Pong it's such a pretty colour and the thicker brush is much easier to use one stoke and you polish is almost done. Thank you for sharing 😊
I don't know but I've always loved the idea of pastel blue nails; probably because I'm not the biggest fan of pastel pink! Though, I have to agree Essie's Mademoiselle is a staple in my collection :)
You have no idea how much I needed this video...this was the one thing I've been so stuck on during my wedding journey! I'm getting married in August and I'm so excited for it, loveee these videos! x
Fleur - have you tried the nail polish range from HEMA? They are really great and soooo affordable. I cannot recommend them enough. They start from £2.50 and they have a great range of colours. :D
Beautiful and very helpful video. I love sally hansen for an at home french manicure but might try the rimmel white polish you have shown for the tips to see how long it lasts as its super hard to find a long lasting opaque white tip colour. Thank you for introducing me to the new essie collaboration polishes too. May have to go try these this weekend! x
While those are some lovely colours, I really do wish you wouldn't promote brands that are not cruelty free. I find it hard to justify and understand why so many beauty gurus and bloggers continue to support these brands in 2017 when there are so many cruelty free options out there.
i think you have to remember that not everyone has made the choice to be cruelty free, that it is a choice, and that you can't expect others to change just because you have. you are welcome to take inspiration from the colors shown here and find similar ones in cruelty free brands, or choose to only watch cruelty free youtubers. and i say this as someone who is cruelty free.
To an extent I can understand where you're coming from but I have to disagree. Beauty vloggers are very much aware that animal testing is happening but choose to ignore it because it inconveniences them. While I understand that it's unlikely that everyone is going to go cruelty free I think it's important as viewers to remind beauty vloggers that animal testing is wrong. While of course it's their choice at the end of the day, I believe it's important to at least remind them that not everyone is happy about their choice to continue supporting brands that test on animals. Cruelty free products are not hard to come by in 2017 and there really is no excuse to continue buying from brands that test on animals.
i guess that makes sense but i come from the idea that forcing or shaming (not saying that's what you're doing at all) people into making the choice isn't effective. i'd say feel free to remind them that animals are being tortured for their beauty products but unless they come to the realization and decide they don't want to participate in the murder of animals themselves they wont, and people will just get annoyed being told all the time they are wrong and can then choose not to go cruelty free simply out of spite. it was really just the end of your comment that made me say anything at all. i think asking for beauty gurus to promote cruelty free products and even suggesting some of your favourite brands or products similar to the ones in the video is great. idk honestly its just a difference of opinion and how i have found the most effective way to get people to change is not to accuse of judge people but share with them the things you love about the cruelty free lifestyle and make it seem more accessible.
Absolutely. Nobody here is forcing or shaming anybody. Though I do believe that being aware of animal testing and continuing to choose to do nothing regarding the products you buy is shameful. I think comments like the first one I made are necessary on videos like this that include products tested on animals. Not only do they inform people reading the comments that certain products are not cruelty free, they also inform the uploader that animal testing isn't something that is necessary in 2017 and that they don't have to continue buying from brands that do. If the uploader decides to not go cruelty free out of spite then that's really a judgement of their character rather than mine or anyone else who encourages them to go cruelty free. At the end of the day there really is no way to justify buying products from brands that kill animals unless you aren't aware that it's happening.
i am very much the kind of person who hates being told what to do. the kind of person who would object out of spite, what that says about my character you can decide. honestly most people aren't doing anything about animal testing and it can go into group psychology in that if everyone is doing it it must be okay. i knew about animal testings since the second legally blonde movie came out but i've only been cruelty free for a little over two years. when i decided that i did not want to be apart of the slaughter of animals especially given how unnecessary it is. but i guess really people are going to try and convince people to change in the way they think will be most effective, and what will work to change people's minds is different for everyone.
I also recommend essie limo scene and ballet slippers- their coverege is between mademoiselle and fiji

I wore OPI Bubblebath on my wedding day, but I think they reformulated it so it's a bit more peachy-pink than it was, but still a great shade.
This is giving me some inspiration for my bridesmaids nails!
Would you please make a video on formal wedding attire for wedding guests, particularly women?
