HOW TO FIX COROLLA ALTIS AIRCON / CLIMATE CONTROL BUTTONS (Di na Mapindot?) (2001-2008)

- This video shows how I fixed my Corolla's defective air-conditioning temperature button. If the Aircon button is not working, it doesn't mean that it is broken. Sometimes, all you have to do is to take it apart and clean the contacts.
The car in this video is Corolla Altis 2004. It is a 9th Generation Toyota Corolla models (2003-2008). In some countries, it is named XRS and CE.

Great video. Helped me fix all the buttons in my Corolla. I didn’t even use contact cleaner; just wiped down the button and contact pad, then reinstalled the nipples perpendicular to the wear marks on the carbon. This worked but I don’t think it will last as long. Your other video replacing the carbon pad is the proper fix, but just rotating them 90 degrees will at least make the buttons work better than they did before.

🎉🎉🎉 this actually worked. I fix multiple buttons. BUT getting those BLUE RUBBERS back in was really HARD!!!! Some even broke when I tried putting them in. They won’t survive if another repair was needed. I really hope they can be bought online or something. TIP use a paper straw when putting in back the rubbers. Thanks for the video 🎉🎉🎉

Welcome, bro. That's only a temporary fix. The best fix is to replace the carbon contacts or the rubber damper / button itself.

Welcome to Corolla 9th! Thanks for being here. If the buttons are stuck, you might want to spray Silicon Spray on it. If they are still stuck, disassemble the panel and try to examine all the physical buttons for damages.

Hi, Chrys! It wont work. The button shells were designed to withstand spalashes of liquid. You have to disassemble the panel for it to work.

It worked for me to just spray the button with electronic cleaner. So it is well worth a try :) I spray it and click the button and let it soak in. 2 hours later it works perfectly fine.
In theory, yes. As long as the cleaner liquid penetrates the contacting surfaces.

Good morning, too brod. Wala ako tutorial niyan. Pero ganito lang yan: Diassemble mo un AC panel tas pag nabaklas mo na, makikita mo na un mga bulb na twist on. May mga bulb jan na di pde palitan lods right away. Kailangan ng soldering skills.

You can do it bro. It's just streching out your patience. But eventually, you,ll get there 😉. If it breaks, you can replace the whole button thing.
@@corolla9thgenPH a friend of mine helped me in reinstalling the blue caps. Now it works perfectly! What did you mean with "can replace the whole button thing"? Do you mean the single buttons or the entire PCB?
You can replace the whole button only. (Including the blue cap). You gonna have to desolder the present button and then replace it with a new one. You need soldering skills (but you can always ask an electronic tech to do it for you)
