Gohans transformation in DBZA will never not give me chills. Between the music and Masako's scream it always hits so damn hard
7:35 I know everybody love to joke about Goku being a bad father (to be fair, I do it to) but this moment, in the anime, always hits hard. The absolut horror in Goku's face once he realize he has send his son to his death because he didn't truly understand him
@@The_Player_1001paragus really didn't. He genuinely cared about the DBS broly. He was a jerk in Z but DBS cheelai kept accusing him of shit when she infact didn't know anything. Paragus really only used that collar to stop broly from losing control but he did care about him. The way broly cared about paragus would show that.
@@ZarrarAAliThat was the one thing I could not stand in DBS Broly. Even when he told her it (the shock device) was needed to prevent him from going berserk and killing everyone, she just continues to be a self righteous idiot who refuses to listen and keeps accusing him. Heck I actually liked Paragus rightfully blowing up on her afterwards, and I agree with him she has no right pointing fingers when she knows nothing and doesn't really listen to any of his points. Even later in she still never once thinks that Paragus might have been right despite Broly losing control and being a danger to everyone, including herself, and just continues to act self righteous.
@@robroy373 fr. Even later when broly is berserk, she's like, damn his father he turned him into this. Like what?? He literally went through every measure to make sure this didn't happen. Broly was born like this. This happened because she had destroyed the shock collar remote. If not, broly would have been subdued before going berserk. And most of the trouble in the movie would've been avoided
And it's not even truly accurate. We mainly follow the team during crisis, but during peace, if he isn't dead or away in space. He does his job as a father. And though he failed to understand Gohan against Cell. It's a mistake he did as a father, a father who tried to teach him how to walk his path. As if it's not a mistake, even good fathers does.
For a moment there you forget that you are watching an abridged series. team Four Star did a great job 👏
At some point, they switched from being a parody to being the best dub.

TBH TeamFourStar themselves said they do not think Gohan is a coward, not only did he never refuse to fight when neeeded in their series but as we see later he had very good reasons to be afraid of what he could become, but Sixteen went there due to it being the most surefire way to get him to let go and boooy did it work. This version of the transformation and the original one still give me chills after all this time and all these watches haha I love TFS's jokes but strangely the parts that hit me the most are those when they decide to go serious. This and Trunks' transformation in his special might be my favourite moments in all DBZA. No joke, no laugh, just a sudden solemn seriousness. And it's amazing.
(Could we consider those as being both times Gohan's death? I always interpreted Gohan saying the disclaimer at the beginning of this episode as signaling the death of his innocence after all, as he has to kill it by the end)

I like their redo of 16's speech. Its got the same general idea as the original but a lot blunter and more aimed specifically at Gohan.
20:25 But really kudos to Team Four Star for this song, for doing an english version of the original song with there own feel, and honoring the original by giving a similar feeling listening to this song like the original one gave, really amazing job they did.
The best line in the show "Ladies and gentlemen cell is doing one of two things neither we can't show on television" 😂 to be a fly on the wall

Remember Gohan's dream in the hypersonic lion tamer, where Cell was stepping on his mom's and Piccolo's heads? I think the TFS guys added that detail. It helps punch up why 16's death affected Gohan so much.
Though personally, I think I get it. Gohan's used to fighters fighting each other to the death; it's brutal and he hates it, but it's familiar territory. But 16's death was Cell destroying someone simply because he could. That's a different level of cruelty, one Gohan wasn't prepared for.
For those who didn't get the joke a talking head is a term for a commentator or reporter on television who addresses the camera and is viewed in close-up. So exactly what Jimmy Firecracker is.

To be honest they gave this transformation more than the original even did. I get more chills from this than the original even. It's crazy

7:05 Now as for this Goku in this parody he is a bad father, and that's what he had to be for the jokes to work that's about it.
But the original Goku in the actual story is not a bad father, and his misunderstanding of Gohan is not completely his fault, but it's also partly Gohan's fault, and if anyone wants to know my reasons for thinking like this, they can ask me and i will write everything.
Surprisingly about half the fan base doesn't understand this
I think my fave part about this episode is Cell's reaction to that extra transformation. It's a TOTAL shift. Cell's been nothing but smug and confident in his superiority since he first showed up; even Semi-Perfect Cell was being funny when Trunks was beating him up. But as soon as Gohan snaps completely, he's no longer laughing. Suddenly, he's not certain at all.

I always loved Krillin’s ‘wow’ in response to Cell 🤣
Also I love how Vegeta always denies being part of Team Three Star with Krillin but the second Yamcha asks if he can join, Vegeta responds with a ‘no.’ Even if he doesn’t want to admit it, I guess a small part of him accepts that he is part of Team Three Star.
Also are you two going to watch Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans special after you finish the Cell Saga?

2:42 This was stupid even in the original anime, how firstly no one uses their senses to sense KI except Goku, and secondly how everyone after feeling how powerful Gohan is and think such a weak attack would kill him.
Gohan can control his energy, he lowered it to the point no one could feel it to see if Goku goes back to the fight.
Gohan thought Goku was holding his true strenght, he didn't believed he was actually way stroger than Goku;
@@Mari_Izu My comment was criticizing the other characters because Gohan can't drop his power level to zero because that means he's dead, and even if he reduced his power level to 1 everyone should still be able to feel it.
It's just stupid, the same as on planet Namek when everyone shoots at Frieza and Krillin asks if they beat him when everyone knows they haven’t, these are the moments in the story when the characters are idiots for no reason, just to make the moment more dramatic or unpredictable (as stupid as that sounds).
