Very thorough video. Thank you. Not full of BS trying to sell crap. Just real information given for the viewer to actually use and learn. Earned my sub.
Brilliant video. Thank you very much. Ill be MP4-ing this one and saving it offline for future reference.
I've just started learning Python, and I'm having a great time. The syntax is so understandable, perfect for a newbie like me. Furthermore, the flexibility of Python in a multitude of sectors is amazing.
Great choice!
how are you learing python?
@@user-hb1uc9fp5v i can give u a youtube link but only if u r serious
let's talk again when you don't have types and you have to refactor a large project with no unit tests and runtime errors popping up everywhere
Sono how is it going
Been learning python at really slow rate for probably a year and a half but this video is helping giving me direction for resources. Thank you!
Same case here
Same here broski. Trying to knuckle down now and hopefully get a job next year
It's been 5 months now, how is the journey so far?
Thanks for sharing. I have decided to go with python after working as network and voip tech. I also like the resume format at 7:56 too.
Video starts at 2:40
Thanks legend saved 2 mins 40 secs minus ads
Thanks for saving my time
Okay Daniel. I'm 58, unemployed and somewhat disabled. I'm going to try and apply your guide and see where it takes me. Let's assume I know nothing and go from there. I challenge myself to do this.
Good luck!
Any updates mate?
Your videos are so much fun to watch.
Thanks for all useful information. I'm always interested in learning new things and coding has been on my list for a while
Good luck with coding
Excellent quality of the video! I'm really into it!
thanks!
Positive self talk is a very powerful tool to achieve your goal in becoming a developer.
Great content, I’m about to start learning Python and with my Asperger I hope to be consistent at it in order to change my career and life. Wish me luck 😁
Good Luck!
You can do it. One of my classmates was in programming class was limited verbal non eye contact Aspbergers. Straight A. He helped me a lot by showing me in a way the instructor could not. He landed a job as a SE with the help of a vocational counselor
🍀💪🤗❤️
I watched some of your videos and actually exist a lot of the same content on the internet, but your words are most understandable and motivating. In addition words about 5 years of CS college degree is most important for me and you prove it by your videos. When I watched this video I was not thinking about your degree.
Thanks for the feedback!
Very entertaining and encouraging video. Thanks!
thank you!
very encouraging, thank you very much. =D
Thank you !
Great! Thanks Man. Already subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Extremely helpful video. I am going to get started with python from Now.
you are welcome)
Its been 6 months now, did you start the journey like you said? If Yes, how has it been?
How’s it going?
Awesome video. I’m currently trying to become a self taught software engineer. I’m about to finish a JavaScript course through Udemy. But I’m not sure where to go from there. I think I’m gonna find real world projects to do, like you said, and add them to my portfolio. How do you recommend I get a job interview set up? I really wanna do this but need direction. Thanks!
Thanks, this video helps!
You are welcome!
Your part about learning through your interests is spot on… I was watching a standard learn Python course and was getting bored… I switched to immediately trying to make my own discord bot with discord py… I’ve learned more through this project than I had learned through the course… most of the knowledge is specific to discord py but still 🤷♂️
nice
Is this like processing.py?
@@aldosandoval8358 no clue 🤷♂️ I’m still only a beginner so I’m not familiar with all of it yet

Glad you enjoyed it
Im about to learn Python in my coding bootcamp im enrolled in. Excited for the challenges
You can do it! Good luck!
The Accent ;) Loved everything you explained. Self Taught Python Guy here.
Ty because i overthink and doubt myself
Does somebody use python in automation testing? I'm currently working in C#, many procjets started using python due to simplicity. Is it worth to use that with Selenium?
great content and great information
Thank you!
Can you suggest how can I get interview opportunities in companies that take interview based on knowledge and not on work experience
Hi, can you make a list of bullet points of this step by step? I find it easier to remember all of this that way
What are the best channels to learn Python?
i like your video, me suscribo a tu canal, thanks bro :D, sorry for the lenguaje mix
Thanks bro
I took Udemy courses, wrote notes, and I even followed along but by the end I forgot it all. I think Udemy can be a mistake. You have to build stuff.
True, I recomiendo the Odin Project
Yes 100% you have to build. You need to take what you learn and apply it to a project. I'm a full stack engineer for 5 years you HAVE to apply your knowledge and continue or you'll lose a lot of it. you'll always be a coder once you've learned how to, but, you can rapidly forget syntax and productivity if you don't keep up with it.
You will forget anything at a certain moment, the idea is when you need that thing you search and remember quickly, and writing notes is only good for first or second time when you read it , you will get bored that’s why it’s important to do projects with what you learned and then even if you forget you can just search !
It is hard to guess if the course is good. They only give limited preview. After i bought I sit through even it doesn't interest me. People just buy courses and then forget to watch them.
@Leibiniz920 may I ask what is the course you bought on python
Thanks. video actually starts at 2:40
Good Video!
Thank you!
I wanna learn programming ❤
Sir, Can you make a C++ roadmap? I really need it. Also include should we learn C++ in 2023?
Will think about it. thx.
@@Daniel-Dann and full-stack please))
@@0x2Mike 👍
Why did you choose c++ instead of Rust?
I just want to start developing apps. Torn between python and swift. I know swift is specifically for mobile apps for iPhone and I’m okay with that. What do you suggest between the two?
learn both you always want to developer for both apple and android
Creating a dynamic site
The only technical tool to learn is just the programming language (Python)?
Thank you
You're welcome
I took Angela Yu udemy course and but now I don't know how to practice and where to practice (any website) on real projects for beginners, and sometime my code is showing no error but while deploying on anywhere, it shows that there is a bug and this demotivate me. I want to choose data analysis in python
One option is the Coursera IBM Data Analysis course. It incorporates the key skills with plenty of hands-on work. It's relatively cheap too. Beyond that, to improve your Python skills, simply Google "python projects" or something similar. There are plenty of free options. Beyond that, be creative. You could create a simple game like Tic Tac Toe or Blackjack, build a web scraping script, etc.
Nice program
In 2019, I learned Python for Data Science. I loved this language and reached Codewars 3kyu. Everything in less than 3 months. Then I stopped to use Python and forgot it.
😂
😂😂😂😂
if I may ask why did you stop? And if you clearly nailed the fundamentals it will be pretty easy to relearn
@@intelblox7354 I decided not to follow the Data Science track. Yes, it would take maybe less than a week to relearn most of the Python and maybe more for other low-level languages.
@@phanchhayleap Agree. I forgot it at about 4 month (timing may differ from others) but I can refresh my knowledge in Python in a week as I mastered Ruby which is close to Python.
It is impossible to find job only with python, we have to learn at least two other languages
high demand as an actual programmer? hmm...not sure about it.. Coz there is a big difference between " demand for python programmers" and demand for different profession which includes using Python.
You should always check what is the demand in your area, and don`t stop on just entering keywords and checking "number of jobs" - take a closer look at what are those jobs.
- Python is overhyped, but it is not nearly as "universally popular" as you might think ( for actual development, for actual clients).
Huge part of "Python jobs" that gonna be listed by your search engine\job website - are not programmer jobs, and require you to have a specific profession in addition to Python. Some of them will even demand math\physics\statistics degree. altogether it means that they are not friendly towards switchers and self-taught devs.
You are correct generally speaking....data engineering and some machine learning positions are good entry points that don't require specific domain experience. Not many entry level SWE positions out there
As you practice various skills during break do you play games Are you a game enthusiast? Or concentrate only on practice. Sorry, I'm not good at English.
It depends: I do sport, walk outside, spend time with family & friends, etc...
Brilliant video
Thank you!
@@Daniel-Dann any good udemy courses ?
@@vajidalishah3595 I will add links soon and make a new video (Python udemy courses review)
Epic video.
Thanks!
Its dependents on understanding
Maybe better if you mention which market are you in right now because the tech stack I learned in the US was demanded but that same stack isn't in Australia market
North America
@@Daniel-Dann seems like different countries have different demands. Getting more and more frustrated just to keep up.
Hello I wanted to ask what do you advice me to do if i only have 4 months to find a job?
is it even possible? and I mean a part time job cause I am a student
I really don´t know what should I do or which path or field of work to choose
did you find one ? xd
Thank you so much for this video, i am a BIM Structural Engineer and now a day it is necessary to learn python to be used in engineering applications, should i learn python in general or there is a specific path i should follow?
learn everything
I’d advise you to learn HOW you could apply it in your position as a BIM Structural Engineer to shorten and optimize some of your workflow, increase your productivity and automate recurring themes. I wasted a lot of years trying to learn everything Python (you’ll find yourself lost at sea) but ever since I structured my learning in line with what my day job is, it’s become doable, less magic and more fun. I approach SQL and excel just the same way. Good luck!

Even if you nailed everything and even prepared for their interview, you will rarely get a call because they all request 3 - 6 years paid experiences in their job description. Do it for fun and if you have passion on it. The amount of work and expectation does not match the unfair market. Some people might be lucky to get through and land a job, but 95% does not make it even though having enough skills.
Nice video
Thank you!
Hello! I have a question - is pithon path leading to high level mathematics and statistics ? Because I am not good neither and I am trying to solve the other question - java or python -_- because of the maths and I am not a 'data type' of a person. First time heard this accent.. from which country you are?
Do you have any RUclips tutorial lessons? Can we communicate through email please?
CODEWARS!!!
you need webdevelopment as well to be fluent in python
this video is VERY similar to one i've watched before. some sentences are literally word for word and the video structure is the same. hopefully this video came first.
what video? - sent a link
👌
Love your accent. Is it a Russian accent?
I started a coursea from google course
I'd re-learn Python in an instant if I had more than a 0% chance of interview success. I have mental and physical health issues that play a factor. I don't know of any trade schools or such that teach and place you into a job. Most just want your money and tell you "good luck."
1. If your soul like programming - just do it for yourself. Programming is best mental practice for keep mind in focus.
2. Everybody can work for freelance, you don't need to speak with someone. You just solve problems and receive money.
3. If you will be great in solving problems you will be in top coders at codewars or leetcode. And you will receive job offers without finding them.
There is NO WAY all of that from the beginning to the interviews will take only 6 months. That is more like a full year minimum.
I have seen such examples. It's possible but definitely not easy.
@selfmadeprogrammer i have a question what about the hype around AI mostly they are talking that in approximately 5 from now AI will mostly wipe out the programmers or that is the exaggeration?
Of course not. It won't wipe out all developers. Some parts of programming tasks will be faster and easier to code/implement with AI. But for programmers still will be a lot of jobs.
@@Daniel-Dann thank you
That's like saying the invention of powertools will replace mechanics.. Ofc not. An AI is only a tool that helps you cut down on production time.
many thanks@@faisfaizal5194
Any ideas on how to build o
Projects and get out of tutorial hell?
Is there another language that does all the same things as python?
Go is cool and perspective one
The problem with many of These courses is that they don’t give you enough practice. Many don’t explain things in a way one can understand what is happening on the screen. Or they start from easy mode and jump right to hard mode with no break down in between. So just start with random exercises and examples to teach the concepts. I think this is the worst way to teach something because they why is lost and your brain disengages. This cause boredom and un motivation to continue. I wish there was a good teacher that gave plenty of practice, good explanations and a relatable way of teaching concepts.
Try "100 days of python"
@sergeisavinov535 i completely agree. Angela's explanations, tricky exercises and projects each day are awesome
I took an c++ course on udemy, and i feel that i don't learn anything, should i go with python instead?
were you coding yourself throughout the course?
@@armanhosen5729 ya i did not just watch it like a movie

This applies to Germany as well?

There is so much competion, it takes years to be a software engineer not months.
It takes months to learn the required skills, not years.
@@Cailus3542 What do u mean with required skills? Give me some examples.
everyone has his own understanding of what "kind of month" they are talking about. One month of "hundred quality hours of dedicated practice" - is obviously not equal to one month of "just watching course, 1 hr per day" .
If we take the first scenario - then I would say, that 6 month is realistic to become a greenish junior with couple good projects in a portfolio , if it is the second scenario - then even five years might not be enough
@@MgelikaXevi Can u introduce yourself, are u self taught or graduated or...?
Ok guys, you said you watch 1hr. per day. That's a you problem. I watch 12hr. per day on tutorials on weekends. I've been learning a lot 😅. I think it will only take 2 or 3 years of experience to become a software engineer/ Python developer 🐍.
