Hey Miranda, former cashier of 20 yrs here from a grocery store, I definitely prefer to check out my own items, I am far faster anyways.
Why wait in line when one can get in and out quicker on their own. And that way I am not taking up a space in line for someone who genuinely needs a cashier to check them out.

I laughed so hard when you started laughing at how lettuce was the only produce you got 🤣🤣🤣 I feel that all too well , we are going to be going to our trailer at the beach for Easter for 2weeks and are super pumped !! And when we go grocery shopping we get all the junk and goodies too lol 😂

I absolutely love camping... but getting there is so much work and the after math.
One my favourite camping food when we had camper was baked beans fryed tinned potatoes cubes sliced spam and fryed egg on top do miss holiday food like that don't have caravan any more to expensive to buy one in UK
I always use a self-checkout now.. (and regardless of the conspiracy theories that it means people lose their jobs whenever a store has a self-checkout - it is not true they get different positions at the store)
I go through it so much faster. I take an Ozark Trail camping wagon and use that as my cart plus bring bags so things don't fall out of the cart walking home with it. and in say 10 minutes I'm done scanning, then 5 minutes of packing and I'm outta there!
By the way if you can get the bbq sweet chili heat Lay's mashups still - we can here in BC.. they are seriously da bomb so good... but you can also since you have both eat 1 of each at the same time... that would rock too!
I don't know...the quickest way to zero is people. I believe that yeah although at first they may put these people in different positions they probably dwindle their hours of employment down to nothing until these people go in search of other jobs. And then because of self checkout they then no longer need to replace those positions therefore costing jobs. Those are just my opinions and by all means I could be wrong?

I get your frustrations over checkouts. I place my groceries a certain way on the conveyorbelt too so they can be bagged together too. It's annoying because most operators don't know how to bag properly. We asked one whether they got training when they 1st started and were told they are shown once for about 5 min and that's it. Have lost count the number of times the bread has been squashed because it was on the bottom of the bag. My Mum even offered to work at one of our supermarkets to just train staff to properly pack the bags. (They declined)
My biggest annoyance is when the checkout operator doesn't use the cooler bag I provide for cold or frozen products. I've had to pull up more than one operator for that.
I usually go through the express lane when I only have a handful of items and don't need to use a bag but do self serve when I have a trolley full.

Am going away in two weeks for the weekend but I've started getting all my crap together so am not rushing the day we go have tubs with clothes tub and fresh food tub that gets packed the morning we go so nothing is forgotten and all l have to pack is wash bag and bring trash bags to put all dirty clothes in from weekend away just take it to nearest laundry shop get it all washed then don't spend all day Monday washing and ironing clothes makes life easier

Oh Walmart I will stand in line all day. They have tried to get me to use the self check out but nope won’t do it. I tell them I don’t work for Walmart.

As much as I want the service of someone else bagging my stuff, I still hate it because they always do it sooooo wrong. Doesn’t matter if it is staff or someone with me, like when I would go shopping with my ex. He would for example put the bread with heavy stuff. I bag things in a certain way, and neatly.

I know that loosing weight is not easy, 8 years ago I weighed 600lbs, and believe me, I cheated a few times myself. But it took me many years to loose the weight, but i'am now down to 183lbs. You can do this!

We have a similar cooler. What we do is keep a few ice packs in the freezer that we can put in the cooler that we can rotate once they thaw. Make sure the food in the cooler isn't blocking a vent. Another thing we do is put a layer of newspaper on top of the food to help insulate it. Hope you're having a great time camping. Can't wait to see the video.

just starting my day as usual with Miranda and family's video. loved it esp the grocery haul. you do amazing.on that. have a blast on your camping trip . all the packing will pay off when your with friends and a campfire sparking :) and some drinks of course to get the laughter rolling. hahaha ❤️ and time at the beach. all a peice of heaven. enjoy yourself .you need this. you work so hard with a family. I know cause I had 3 children they keep us on our feet .now they all.are grown up and mamma here got old. lol
I agree that camping can be a pain. Back when we had our first trailer I use to keep some older clothes in it for the kids. Things that that didn't wear out except to play. I really hope that you have an absolutely amazing weekend. And by the way, great haul.

Yes I agree getting everything ready to go camping is the pits..and un packing also but when it's all set up so well worth it..I so miss my camping but fees r just out of this world..so I sold my 40 foot trailer and ever since I did I regret it..we just go to parks now for swimming for the day with a packed lunch and goodies..got to have those goodies right lol..have alot of fun u guys..♡

Oh man, do I remember the good old days when I had to pack for our family of five to go camping! Exhausting! Now, my kiddos are grown, so it’s just hubby and I. It’s so much easier now!

You’re camper is similar to mine! I have a Springdale 1800 BH.. I love it because I tow with my Subaru. It’s funny because we do a Firefighter weekend camping trip every September and my husband always forgot to tell me the logistics of the potluck! 😂 Finally, they realized he was a poor communicator and they added me to the FB messages.. haha! Side note, my hubs and I are not firefighters, we are nurses who have Amazing firefighter friends and they always invite us on their weekend.. I so want to camp at the beach but our beach has a lottery and it is very difficult to get in.. I did get a week this year and sadly had to give it up because it was the week my daughter is away at camp.. but fingers crossed for next year!
