I do have Aawireless and at first it was all working fine. But then I had a new phone, newer versions of Android auto and new firmware (1.7.1). Recently I have stutters in my music, android auto that spontaneously reboots. In short, it's not working like it used to. Now I have to find out where it goes wrong :). The Aawireless connection works fast anytime I go for a ride, it's only during the trip I'm having troubles. Is the phone getting too hot with all the software running (music, maps, road info like mobile cameras) and being charged wirelessly in the phone holder? Or is it the android auto update or the Aawireless update? Sherlock is on the case but thanks for your movies!
I would maybe try first by charging your phone via a cable if possible. Wireless charging on its own generates a good amount of heat and adding in AAWireless can push a phone past it's heat limits. If my battery is very low and I try to charge + use Android Auto it usually doesn't get too happy (very heavily used Pixel 3). There is also a new version that was released a few weeks ago (1.8 I believe) that you could see about doing to see if it helps with stability. If the update doesn't help I'd reach out to support to see if they can provide further assistance.
How I can do update after download and install update? If I turn OFF/ON doesnt' work and also with power on off.. I don't understand how reboot AAWireless?
I hope you like it! Make sure to check out my video going over how the AAWireless handles multiple phones if you think you'll be having more then one phone paired to it: ruclips.net/video/k774Sp4p9J0/видео.html
Few questions: do I need to have GPS turned on on my phone to AAW work? If not, I assume it has its own GPS module, can I place AAW in my lumbar compartment? Will the GPS work?
I will check later tonight on if GPS is needed to be on for the phone to be able to connect to AAWireless, but you will need GPS on to be able to use navigation. AAWireless essentially just projects your phone to you car screen. You should be able to place the AAWireless anywhere in your car. I tested with it in the "trunk" of my Telluride and it was fine.
My AA Wireless works perfectly on my 2020 Sonata. However I am now trying to install the new update. I have downloaded the software and when I click on the update button, the phone says "connecting". Then the dongle loses its connection to the car and the phone says to click on the Android Auto icon on the car's screen. However the icon is disabled and therefore I cannot do the update. Clicking on Retry doesn’t help. Everything returns to normal when I exit from the update process. Any ideas? Update: Had to disable my VPN on my phone and all went well.
Do you have an AAWireless? Let me know what you think of it below!

This is perfect timing. My AA wireless dongle is on the way.

@@BeardedTechGuy will definitely check it out. That will be a good option for road trips.
Says you need 75% battery, shows image with 58% battery - lol nice vid, appreciate the quick tip.
🤣 "Do as I say, not as I do"
Glad you liked the video!

Can you show us a video of how to manually update if this method does not work?
Great idea, I will add it to my list thank you!

Glad you figured your issue out and thank you for sharing for others!
Mine constantly looses signal then restarts. Over and over. Basically unusable. Works for a few minutes at a time then stops.
Oh I'm sorry to hear that, have you updated the firmware to latest version yet?
@@BeardedTechGuy yes
What do you look for to make sure your phone is connected to the AAWireless?
You should have an Android Auto icon in your notification bar indicating you are connected
Really going for the “quick” in “quick tech tips” huh? 😂
