I can see that you are enjoying the bass play on this song, sir! 'Favourite' does really have the 'Just Like Heaven' and '1979' vibes. A nostalgic-melody-driven song even i saw an interview video with Fontaines ' bassist, he said the song was influenced by The Beatles but did not turn up like Beatles song 😂
Thanks so much for watching and for the comment. I appreciate the support. I read something recently that also compared this to The Cure. I can hear that now. I just saw them in concert in Brooklyn. Fantastic show. Cheers!
Ok, ok, ok... what a beautiful song and this is probably my favorite Fontaines song I've heard so far. I really like the atmosphere the guitars create in this. It's almost like the perfect cross between U2 and The Cure. Such bright energy and the bassline... fat, present, leading. The perfect bassline and you totally nailed it, Thom. I really, really enjoyed watching you play this and you know what? It's time to hit that replay button. 😉Fantastic stuff, my friend. BASS ON!!!!!
Thanks Dani! Yeah this is one sweet catchy pop song by Fontaines DC. This one is getting a lot of radio play here in NY. The new album is fantastic. It feels good to be excited about a young band again. Simple and effective bass line. Thanks for watching!!! BASS ON!!!
Simply Superb. That bass looks and sounds out of this world. I’m delighted that you are digging Fontaines so much. One of the better bands around. This bass line is so cool. Top class grooving my friend
Thank you so much Niall! I am really loving my new Am Pro II P Bass. It feels and sounds so good. It feels good to be excited about a new band. I will be seeing them in Brooklyn on October 16th. And nice steady, supportive bass line in this one. Favourite has been getting a lot of radio play here in NY. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much Ed. Fontained D.C. are an Irish band that have been getting a lot of buzz the last few years. This is their latest single. Thanks for watching!
Nice steady playing Thomas, love it. Grooving with the pick. Conor keeps it simple, usually hanging on the roots. Good to see you continuing with the Fontaines. Romance is a terrific album. Love that P Bass and nothing wrong with that t-shirt also 🇮🇪👍
Thank you so much Sean! I am really loving the new album. I’ll be seeing them in Brooklyn in October. I’m really excited about that. Thanks for watching and for the support.
@@basstrap3430 Oh cool. My buddy Niall from Niall's Bass Tones is also from Dublin. I've been to Ireland twice the past 2 and half years and have fallen in love with it. I saw The Waterboys both times. Once in Dublin and once in Cork. The first time there spent two weeks with the wife touring all over. Her family is from Cork. What a beautiful country.
Bravo Thomas. Observer ton jeu reste très instructif !🙏
Thank you Erwan. Haha, we are both getting old. The band makes me feel young again. It feels good to be excited about a band again. This song has gotten a lot of radio play here in New York. Thank you so much for the kind words about my playing. Haha, I still feel like an intermediate player, but that is my own insecurity. Thank you for watching. Stay well my friend.
Now this is bordering on supremely excellent Thomas! Tighter than a tourniquet. The pro ii is sounding sublime keeping in time as she plays the bass line I wish she was mine but too many dimes…yeah mighty fine 😅❤
Wow, what a poetic response. Thanks so much Neil! Sometimes nice and steady is all a song needs. I am really loving the Am Pro II P bass. It feels so good to be playing a P again. I thought I've seen quite a few of your videos with an American P? A top quality bass in fit and finish and sound. Just curious, how many basses do you own? I thought I recall that you buy, fix up and sell them. Is that correct? I sold my Lakland 44-02 to finance the Am Pro II. I still have the Lakland Jazz bass. Cheers mate!
@@thomasfioriglio I just have my Olympic white American precision from 95 and a Japanese pb 86 in black. My Adam jazz; my 50s style legend p with upgrades and the Yamaha active in matte black. The Japanese is my main workhorse for the b sides with its drop d tuner. I have recently added pro ii pick ups to it so will be interesting to hear the difference in practice this week if any.
Hello Thomas I wanted to tell you about a U2 tutorial on RUclips. It is on tiefsiter channel . "I Threw a Brick Through A Window" We talked about this song a while back so I want to share this with you. Take care !

First time hearing the song. Nice perfomance. One can hear the cover fits the original. Great choice for a cover. Keep rocking bass master.

@@basstrap3430 Oh, very cool! A hometown gig! Sean, are you from Ireland, or will you just be visiting? Somehow I always assumed you were American.
