I do graphite portraits and cartooning. Neither professionally. I interviewed with Six Flags and that was the day I realized how different doing Cartooning is from portrait work. He liked my cartooning, but we couldn't agree on my profit and I was a little slower than he was but my end result was just as strong. What I loved about what you did was ignoring the nose holes. They really weren't a necessary part of the picture. At first I got afraid when you added his mustache and beard but you made it work. It looked great!

I practice drawing basic shapes with dimensions and how light acts upon them. The face is not flat but a put together of multiple shapes. When I see it this way it makes it easy to see where to place shadows. We offer on line classes if you'd like to learn more. Thanks for Watching and sharing.
