I’ll admit, there was a period where my stories of Shorts and TikToks were performing incredibly because of consistency. But since my switch to long form format stories, I’ve been dealing with the struggles of that change. Less growth and less projects, but I do what I can to be consistent with it.
about number 8 yeah maybe you right, my photo and videography Instagram consist of two content, Motorsports and Anime Cosplay stuff, which make my view counts and followers count hard to grew, but how to solve it is to do a collaboration with the EO and the cosplayer account themselves which has higher follower than mine i think i need to learn more than this video and go back to the number 7, and i could learn thing or two along the way, especially when i see someone with two type of content on one IG account. Thanks Greg, anyway good luck with WEC media coverage there!
Very cool tips, thanks a lot!! I wish you expanded further on the "first three seconds hook", as that seems to be working on personal accounts, where its actually about you and your work. However when making shorts for a corporate account of like a race team, you can't really use this "my POV, how I did this, me doing X". I'm sure there is still some ways to apply the same hook to a "We are this team doing X" but it just doesn't spark the same interest in me as when I am watching a personal page from an artist... Really struggling with that!
You’re not wrong! The intros for the client work is a bit harder to crack. I tend to look for big moments, movement and energy for those. Always a work in project 🙏🏻
Unrelated question; How do you shoot clips that you slow down only partially? Say your timeline is 30fps and you have some footage that you want to emphasize a certain moment by slowing it down. Do you film it in 60fps and play it back as 30fps? And if so does that not make the not-slowed-down part of the clip look weird?
If you want to slow clips down, you need to shoot at higher frame rates. A 60fps clip can be slowed to 40% in a 24fps timeline, or 50% in a 30fps timeline and so on.
@@gregsvideogarage Yeah but i often see people that have a clip in 30fps that a part of it is full speed, but say a car hits a kerb is slowed down for a second (still in the same clip) do they shoot it in 60fps? And won’t the non slowed down part look weird cause you essentially remove frames to get to 30 without slowing it down? Dont know if this makes sense or not 😂
@@marijn17s if a clip is slowed down, it was shot at a higher framerate than the project framerate. No, a 60fps clip in a 30fps timeline won't look "weird". The only noticeable difference will be less motion blur on the 60fps clip.
Just found tip #5 myself and hate that I never did it before. Such a simple thing that can make a big impact.
Look forward to your Qatar coverage!
It’s the little things that really help I find. Thanks for the support as always 🙏🏻

Short form is built for quick growth - absolutely. A slower burn on long form. Just keep creating!
Dropping more knowledge bombs on ‘em. Great topic to cover and great explanation on the tactics. 🙌🏻
