Something I have done that helps so much. You can create different brands for different shirts and use the hex code to create the right color and then all you have to do it pick the shirt and the color and you know it's right.

@@BB-xs6wm Maybe he @detourShirts can do a video on it. Very hard to explain but there a section that you can upload brands. I did different brand names for different kind of shirts so I could upload color codes for those shirts.
First, thanks Juna, for the video. I’m glad you showed that you can go to the bottom and see if it’s an AI generated mock-up or the event it might be used for. I have been so scared of doing mock-ups, on places like Etsy, because you know how customers can be, and there is so much AI stuff now. In doing mock-ups, though, one thing I have noticed is there are a lot of holes in it, meaning, there are some products you can’t find good mockups for, even Tshirts. I told my daughter we should get some of those products and make some mock-ups, because some of the things I have thought about selling, in the past, there aren’t any mock-ups for, anywhere, except the printify or printful mock-ups. I haven’t had the best of luck with Placeit, honestly, but I can see it being great for social media, but beyond that, as far as Tshirts go, they don’t have a lot of the aesthetic that I am looking for. One thing I do like though, is that they offer some with white or plain backgrounds, so I can make my own background. Thanks again Juna. 😊
Thanks for the comment.... yes Placeit is great for the mockups with people but mockups for Etsy is totally different.... They really should make more mockups for that.
The problem with place it is that half the time you don’t know which model of shirt is being worn, they have almost no good streetwear looking mockups, and worst of all the colors are always way off due to the amount of filtering and processing they do to the images. It is technically against Etsy terms of service to use place it because you don’t know if the item being shown is the item your customer will receive. Especially when they use AI to create a mock up. In that case the human subject does not even look real because everything has that to it.
I see your point... luckily I don't use it for Etsy.... but I think they should think about working with Etsy sellers to see what they need, that's a huge market

I love Placeit and they do run specials sometimes. I got a good deal for a year,y and pay way less than the $9 per month. Juna….I ,I’ve hiw organized your are. Everything looks so neat and tidy. I live that. Very appealing.

Hi Juno, all your videos are so informative, it's an invaluable resource for me.(I'm one of your subscribers). I'm just starting out putting together some ideas for designs and doing lots of research so that when i launch my shop I know that I've done everything possible to create designs that won't breach copyright or infringe on trademarks.
I wanted to know how I can get an accurate colour for each mock up. I'm not talking about black and white, but say I want to sell a particular tshirt say Bella and Canvas 3001. I design everything using Canva Pro. Should I go into the Printify production partner and chose the colours from there, obtain the Hex code for say Navy and copy and paste that into Place it? While I appreciate there are difference with peoples monitors, I wanted to produce an accurate representation of the t shirt colour as possible. Thank you for all your advice.
Yes... that could work.... If you are just using it for mockups that will get you pretty close. That's what I would do anyway
Thanks for the video, but the free version is only to test it out because the generated mockups have a big fat "made with place it" in the mock up so free is not useful, but at least I can decide from the test if I want to pay for it.
Oh....I haven't used FREE in a long time TBH and they didn't used to have the Made with Placeit on there when I used it.... but it's been years

The problem I’ve had with PlaceIt is that the material for the shirts never match the ones in my Printify/Printful store. So it’s almost misrepresentation when I display a mock-up that doesn’t match the actual shirt. I haven’t found a way around that with them.

Placeit only costs 9.99 a month if you pay for the entire year upfront, which comes to over 100. Otherwise it’s 15 a month. Not saying it’s a bad deal, but I wish people would be more transparent.
