@@stateofconstatinopole8316 Yep it is the Turkish war of Independence that kicked the Greeks out of western part of their lands. The treaty was torn down and replaced by anew treaty that ends the war and all countries recognised the new Republic of Turkey and the Greeks left the western part.
@@DavBlc7 just a correction not only the western part of asia minor but in general millions of Greeks from all over Asia minor (Ionia, pontus (survivors of the genocide and some people remained after 1922 and were turkified to survive), Cappadocia etc) the only parts that were excluded were Constantinople, Imvros and Tenedos that were actually later between 1955 and 1974 forced to leave as well and were deported illegally resulting dropping the Greek population of those areas from nearly 500000 people in 1955 to nearly 2000 in 1974 and today approximately around 3000-3500. There are hundreds of cases in Imvros and Constantinople Greeks seeking reparations from the Turkish government and claiming back their properties accordingly to the the 1923 treaty between Greece and turkey in the European Court of human rights
