      Indeed, yes, if you want to eat as the Yerushalmim do. This is a sweet and peppery kugel, and the tartness of a good dill pickle contrasts well with it.

    First time I ate Yerushalmi kugel I nearly passed out with joy. Very few foods taste as good as this.

    Is this Lockshen pudding?

      Lokshen just means noodles, so that would be a noodle kugel. Yerushalmi kugel usually uses very thin noodles, like vermicelli, and has the carmelized sugar, as in this recipe.

    I was a live in au-pair in London at a Jewish family and that's where I ate this the first time...I loved it! Now 30 years alter I will make this for myself....why I didn't make it before don't ask me :D
