    Whenever I see Gwoh Sau training, it always looks like magic, but it's something else entirely when Sifu Lam catches your attacks and completely and effortlessly controls your motions, always two or three motions ahead of you (or more) - he teaches OD next level Wing Chun - can't wait for the next seminar in August...! Thank you for sharing your experience

    That was about changing. Taking the outside, taking the inside or far outside, and staying two hands in. Sometimes on play 3 we keep the same structure and just pass through. One hand in one hand out. That was cool. The moves he used were fook (covering hand) on his first jut. He used inside tan and changed direction/stance on the back hand. He used quan sao on play 3 as he covered, took inside, then used two hands to tie and bundle on the back hand wirh his bong. Really great demonstration of a key point. Safety. 😁💯

    Sifu Gary, I'm facing some problems with, and people tell me I should stop it, there's such thing as faking, and not being yourself in Martial arts, and when it comes to me, i always fail to implement bong saunand tan sau in sparring sessions, but I'm really good in doing pak sao biu sao and biu gee, should i even stop focusing on training my tan sou and bong sao, and even kwan sao, and just be myself, or should i still improve those techniques, i really love them, but can't use it right way, also I'm better in doing tan da, but still want to try out something new, but other practitioners keep saying, just do what you can and don't do what you can, and i have this two choices, i still really love other techniques, and want to understand myself and cut out that self deception

      You must work on your weaknesses if you want to be a good fighter. You've mastered some techniques, but others, like your bong sau, need more work. Mastering it will deepen your understanding of Wing Chun.
      If you were a bodybuilder, and you had a big upper body but small legs, you wouldn't quit training legs. Instead, you would decrease your upper body training and increase your leg training.
      You are only as good as your weakness.

      @@GaryLamWingChunKungFu wow, really amazing, i find it really interesting, because i am a bodybuilder, who did the same, and results went crazy, i have big back, and chest, but small arms, and I started training them twice a week, and made crazy gains, arms were 2.5cm bigger in only two months, and now i think the same thing goes to martial arts, thank you Gary, unique approach, I'll do my best 💪

    This 2 lines theory doesn’t works if your opponent has three or four arms🙃
    We are so lucky that we humans only got two🥴🤣

    What r u gonna do if he turns and do elbow? Outside is not safe at all.

    • @GaryLamWingChunKungFu
      @GaryLamWingChunKungFu  Месяц назад

      Being on the outside is safe because my opponent can only strike with his far hand. As for an elbow strike, it’s quite easy to stop because my hands are on top of his arms.
