    I got the pollinator garden in a can. These packages are great. Many varieties came up. A lot of bang for the buck. Looking forward to ordering the zinnias!

    Wow Renee what a beautiful bed of Zinnia flowers. I do love Zinnia flowers. Last year I purchased Zinnia plants and I have their seeds, which I wanna sow. But your method of planting Zinnia is amazing. You also look so beautiful like white zinnia. I wish someone has liked you along with zinnia flowers.

    Thanks for the info! I love videos when you can see the progression. I’d love to learn why one would scatter so many seeds that you end up thinning versus planting them eight inches apart from the get-go. I understand some may not germinate, but I wonder if you could just fill in any gaps and just have them farther apart? Can they be transplanted?

    • @embera.1202
      @embera.1202 Год назад

      Would seed starting pods help with making sure there aren’t any gaps since the seed would be germinated by the time you transplant them into the ground? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I’m a beginner. 😊

      someone told me that the issue with initial spacing can allow space for weeds.

    Thank you so very much for helping me out! Until now I never understood what "thinning" meant! I just subscribed to your channel. Oh yeah, hello from Fall River, Massachusetts! ❤️

    • @liezinholland2671
      @liezinholland2671 2 года назад +2

      Thinning means for example you planted 2 seeds in 1 hole and they successfully germinated then you need to cut the other one to avoid overcrowding. If you sprinkle seeds randomly like on this video then there will be no proper spacing between each plant.

    Is it better to thin them or can I just plant them 8 inches apart from the start? Instead of scattering it

      You can sow it thinner if you want. Sometimes the seeds don't all sprout though.

      Does thinning help the zinnias grow evenly in height as well? These look perfect. Mine were all different sizes last year. I’m a beginner gardener with lots of questions. Love these videos and looking forward to ordering from you.

    I have Carousel Zinnia's in My Garden this Year. But sadly the grasshoppers have been munching holes in my leafs of some of the plants. 😫 other than that they look healthy and should be able to recover..

    Are you transplanting all those you pulled. It seems like such a waste of seed. I don’t thin and mine were huge and used each other for support. A tape measure in a garden seems such a university thing.

    Why not just plant the seeds one by one? Cause it's a waste of good seeds and time.

      Sometimes the seeds don't all sprout. There are a lot of seeds in this container.
