  • Certainly! Here are some important safety instructions for driving:
    1. Buckle Up: Always wear your seatbelt and ensure that all passengers do the same.
    2. Stay Alert: Avoid distractions like texting, and stay focused on the road.
    3. Obey Speed Limits: Adhere to posted speed limits and adjust your speed for road conditions.
    4. Maintain a Safe Following Distance: Keep a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you to allow for sudden stops.
    5. Use Turn Signals: Signal your intentions when changing lanes or making turns.
    6. Observe Traffic Signs and Signals: Follow traffic signals and obey road signs.
    7. Don't Drink and Drive: Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
    8. Check Your Blind Spots: Use your mirrors and turn your head to check blind spots when changing lanes.
    9. Stay within Your Lane: Maintain your lane discipline and avoid weaving in and out of traffic.
    10. Be Mindful of Weather Conditions: Adjust your driving to suit the weather, whether it's rain, snow, or fog.
    11. Give Way to Pedestrians: Yield the right of way to pedestrians at crosswalks and intersections.
    12. Use Your Horn Sparingly: Honk your horn only to alert other drivers of your presence, not as a form of frustration.
    13. Avoid Aggressive Driving: Stay calm and patient, and avoid road rage.
    14. Regular Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained with working brakes, lights, and tires.
    15. Stay Informed About Road Conditions: Be aware of road closures, accidents, or construction on your route.
    16. Use Hands-Free Devices: If you need to use your phone, use a hands-free device to minimize distractions.
    17. Be Courteous: Show respect and courtesy to other drivers on the road.
    18. Plan Your Route: Know your route in advance and have a backup plan in case of unexpected detours.
    Remember, safe driving not only protects you but also the people around you. Always prioritize safety on the road.

    • @odius94
      @odius94 3 месяца назад +4

      That's because old boy drove on the paved portion where the tow trucks park, he needed to be in the deep gravel.

    • @L-8
      @L-8 3 месяца назад +2

      Yeah good point. But the gravel section seems way too narrow considering its purpose, because you can’t exactly do precision driving in this situation even if you know what part you’re meant to drive on

    • @L-8
      @L-8 3 месяца назад +1

      The trucker in the video positioned to the right-hand side of the ramp instinctively because it curves to the right, so the paved part should be on the other side. Some runaway truck ramps don’t have a paved section at all. It seems like putting one there prioritises the convenience of the cleanup over the safety of the truck drivers…

      @@schroedingersdog7965Most drivers have massive egos. Truckers are no exception. I understand the complexities of the job and that it can be difficult sometimes, I have worked several different jobs as a truck driver myself. But that's no excuse for ending someone's life or at the very least ruining their day. I had to work with this one guy, lazy piece of garbage, and he'd constantly tell me "just move into their lane, they'll get on the shoulder and pass" and he genuinely didn't understand why I wouldn't do it. He'd stare at his phone texting almost all the time while driving, blow red lights and stop signs without even braking, and more. He wouldn't listen to me when I told him not to. He would have killed people on multiple occasions if I hadn't yelled at him to brake while he was staring at his phone. I quit that job because of him. Be careful though, he's still out there somewhere, as well as many like him.
      Not saying all truckers are like that by any means, but you never know who's who until they slam into you.
      OK rant over.
