Between this, rising, and traction, I play these all the time. I usually listen to stuff online on RUclips, but this would be the type of stuff that I'd love to get a good turntable and sound system and jam out to it on vinyl.
What a really really beautiful and touching song! Brought very cherished memories and some 'hope', all along. Thank you very much for this experience, guys! Looking forward for the new album!
This song inspired me to take up the hurdy after years being without music following an illness that took my ability to play guitar & mandolin. Thank you both. Also, my kids often ask for the "girdy girdy"....by this they mean your videos :) Please come to America and Colorado if possible!
Dear Daniel. Thank you for sharing this to us! Happy to hear we can inspire you to music again! Here is a link to the full album online stream via Spotify, Name of the album is "RISING" and it includes a studio-version of Hireath! open.spotify.com/album/40trq9KwElsnZHCLYSEFEY?si=v5L24e1sTLqtxBPK5rXAdA
Ok, so I'm constantly sounding like a fanboy - which I gladly am haha - but hey, truth is this piece makes me love my instrument even more - I did not think that was possible. =) What you guys do is stunning. Thanks for that. =D Go, Johannes!
In this video I'm using a stomp-box called "Ortega Horse Kick Pro". But I have switched to a "Roland SPD-one Kick". They are both great but I really like my new Roland. It's much more precise and reliable in terms of build quality and it also have more useful features. //LarsEmil
Thank you for the detailed answer! I've been looking for a stomp box for some time now and have also had a look at the Horse Kick Pro, but always felt like it basically only has one usable sound and the rest is unusable. The SPD-one kick looks interesting, will take a closer look!
Hiraeth is a Welsh word - how did you come to choose it? It's complex and not really translatable into English although it contains nostalgia, longing, yearning especially for home (house, village, country) - but a Welsh person can feel hiraeth while living in the house he/she was born in! I like the track very much.
You´re so right! A welsh woman suggested this expression/word as name for this tune when we played it live in Scotland (Aberdeen). She gave us the explanation and it felt as the right name..! :)
Do you consider the melody of this track to be a tune? Or do you consider it a riff? If a tune, would you mind if other musicians learned and played the tune? Thanks :)
How in the world did I stumble into this ridiculously touching music
:-) Welcome!
Ni var o spelade på centrum för min klass 28/3-2023! Ps jag skriver från min farfars ipad

After traction the bar was set pretty high. Still really good though. Symbio, great moves, keep it up, proud of you.
Thank you! :) This tune will also be recorded for our new album next week. The album will be released in the end of Summer 2018. All the best!

Can you tell me which stompbox Lars Emil is using?

Kan inte sluta lyssna...wow
Så fint att höra! :)
I must know where did you get your hurdy gurdy?
The gurdy Johannes is playing on in this video is made by a builder in Vienna named Wolfgang Weichselbaumer. :)
Do you consider the melody of this track to be a tune? Or do you consider it a riff? If a tune, would you mind if other musicians learned and played the tune? Thanks :)
It is more like a melodic phrase used as a riff...! Of course anyone who wants can learn and play it! :) Feel welcome!
ni är bäst vet ni var polen liger svara snela
I heard gurdy couldn't play with accordion.. Proven million times wrong in one single video
Oh... I think its one of my absolutely favorite combinations!! // Johannes :-)
