    The Azusa Street Revival
was started in Los Angeles, CA in 1906 by an African American preacher from Houston, TX, William J. Seymour, a one-eyed 34-year-old son of freed slaves. Within five weeks of his preaching on receiving the Holy Spirit, Seymour himself became one of 7 people who received the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues. News spread quickly and members of the Latino and white communities of a broad spectrum of religious backgrounds and income levels joined the crowded little house on Bonnie Brae St. It was so full of singing, healings, speaking in tongues, and shouting that the front porch collapsed! As people came from all over, the congregation grew and eventually moved downtown to an old African Methodist Episcopal Church on Azusa St. visited by thousands.
    This was America’s Pentecost 🔥!

I believe in "gifts" and the Holy Spirit, but must praying in the Spirit be in a different language? Can you not pray in the Spirit in your own language?

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Saying a bunch of gibberish is not “Speaking in tongues”....tongues means languages. This is foolishness
