Cane Hill is the best band Riserecords has, they don't habe any band who even comes near to cane hill. This is one of the most underrated bands I've ever heard.

Why are so many people comparing this to Slipknot? Don't get me wrong, I love their self-titled and Iowa albums, but their sound was focused around different elements in those days. Their sound was derived from turntables, heavy percussion, interesting drum fills/beats and Corey's audible hate in every word he screamed.
Now while some of these elements are present in this track, I would say that the band is less of a "nu-metal" band and more of a hardcore band. Their sound seems to be derived from the grooves set by the guitar and their breakdowns are evidence of that. If anything, they sound more like Sworn In than Slipknot to me.

You're absolutely right! I guess it was just this song - True Love reminds me a lot of Slipknot, actually.
The drop tuned guitars and rhythmic deep pounding bass coupled with the drum making it an easy headbanging classic..... PLUS the DJ scratching records toward the end...... instrumentally this is what old school slipknot was all about. The vocals though..... at the very beginning of the song when he is more speaking than singing..... reminds me of Spider from Powerman 5000...... but then when he starts screaming he has more of a Marilyn Manson vibe mixed with Greg Puciato of Dillinger Escape Plan..... or a Christopher Volpi from little known band Ready, Set, Fall. That's my two cents.
I've heard of all those bands xD yeah the vocals are the only thing I don't think is Slipknot-y. Corey has an original timbre for sure and not a lot come close.
I think people are comparing vocal styles. The singer has a Cory Taylor-esque style of that kinda slurred/talk singing, then just screams his lungs out.
