    About Me:
Hello, my name is Dan Shannon. I grew up in a small town in New Brunswick, Canada. At a young age, I started working with tools. One of my favourite projects was using a scroll saw to make an old fashioned sleigh ornament in grade 8. As an adult I dove back into my love for woodworking. I’m married with two precious little girls, and I do my own renovations on the house. Also, I like to build my daughters and my wife useful keepsakes out of wood in the shop. I started this RUclips channel in March of 2023 because I wanted to share the knowledge I had over the years working with tools, as well as sharing the quality of rigid pro grade tools and their service agreement. I’m not a professional by any stretch and I don’t claim to be. I would just like to help those who want to start a shop like I did. I really enjoy helping people especially with shop related topics. so whether you’re a professional or beginner we can all learn from each other out in the shop. Thanks for watching my videos and your support. I greatly appreciate it.

Great video! And a bonus hint: the arrow marks ( the one on the bump head and the ones around the spool ) will help you align the parts for an easy refill. Align them; once aligned, the line will go through the head easily.

Great Video!! Look so easy to re-spool the twine on this product that is a huge plus in my books. Bobby

Is there any attachments coming out for this?

Ben, I’m really hoping so. I had one person tell me you can use Ryobi attachments on this because they are almost identical products. It would be nice to see that as a review. If I know someone that has them I will test it out. Thanks for watching. 😊Dan

I own 2 of these and its almost impossible to remove the spool from the outer drum with lock, unlock markings, if one side of twine breaks inside. If you manage to get it off with massive amounts of wrestling, its a lot harder trying to get it back on and locked. Anyone have a solution...

@@carterlucyk1971 mines never given any issue, however, mines still in the “Newer stage”. Maybe after a few years of use it will be harder to manage. If this is a defective product hopefully Ridgid will address it. Did you bring it to a repair shop under the LSA warranty? I’d be interested in hearing more on Ridgids help for you. 😊Dan

I will be soon. The 2 I have are brand new and maybe 15 to 20 minutes use on them.

I guess folks do not remember what you just said as to the reason you are always repeating yourself. Or is it to double viewership time?
