I really love your shelves! They are exactly what I am looking for. I use several thin shelves and they drive me insane! Really enjoying you collection.
Brilliant. I think American Tail (Fievel Goes West is out) also Beverly Hill Cop 1,2,3 are out in the UK region free or about £10 ($14), take care mate and thanks for showing.👍😀👍
No, I sell them to friends and other collectors who need them for their collections. And yes, I prefer the clean look of all the blus without random slipcovers lol. Thanks for watching :)
Also I'm kinda stuck. I really don't buy movies anymore and I only have 150 Blu rays in my collection and 400 DVDs lots of tv shows documentaries and 108 wrestling DVDs I guess I just don't know what else to buy at this point. And I don't really care about upgrading my DVD's to Blu Ray except certain ones maybe. So what do you suggest I do? Should I try upgrading my DVD's to Blu rays or expand my Blu Ray collection?
I have just subscribed recently and was thinking of doing a similar video (with a smaller collection! About 1000 Blu-rays but lots of those are TV seasons but I do have about another 2500 DVDs). Just wondering how you film at the same time as pulling out the case and keep the camera even vaguely steady. Also if I did this I cant reach my top shelf without standing on tiptoe (and it looks like you have some high shelves too - I also did my own and they are practcally floor to ceiling) so did you bring the ones you are looking at down to a level you can reach them easily (and also reach down to lower ones without difficulty) or something else?
Awesome collection! If you like Bad Grandpa you should get Bad Grandpa .5, that one's really good too. It's made out of footage they didn't use in the movie.
Hey love the collection.....Question, do you insure these? I mean, a fire would just wipe you out right? Don't you worry about that and if so, how do you minimize risk?
I am in the UK and have quite a sizeable collection (though nothing like this!) and get asked the same. When I check with insurers they have all told me the same (but I suggest checking to anyone with a collection as insurers or countries may vary!) which is that you only need to declare it as a *collection* which you have to make sure you insure as a maximum single item IF they are worth more as a set than individually added up, which DVDs/BDs almost always aren't. Otherwise they are each single items worth probably no more then £50-60 maximum (eg. OOP rare steelbooks) - and usually a *lot* less - and can be claimed for individually as long as your insurance for the house covers the *total* cost. That said I take regular photos to prove I'm not making up how many I have if the worst happened - and keep detailed (backed up online) records.
Thank you! And I break them up because I like to see the individual cover art. And yes, at some point I will run out of room but that shouldn’t be for a while. Thanks for watching :)
Another question....Do you just buy anything at all? I mean you would have to right? Theres no way you can like EVERY single one of those.....Do you think its borderline OCD? Not trying to be an ass or anything, just genuinely curious...Im trying to advance my collection but refuse to buy movies I dont like in order to 'buy more stuff'.....ya know?
Another good question I get asked a lot, lol. I am actually very selective when adding new films to me collection. I only buy what I think I would watch and want to have in my collection. I rarely blind buy anything unless it looks decent and is only $2-$3.
Weirdly I often blind buy but 95%+ of the time I guess what I will enjoy accurately... I'm usually only led astray by other people (who I know and have a wide viewing experience) telling me how amazing something is then I buy it and it turns out 'I can see it is well made and acted but just not for me'. Though yes if I find one in Poundland where all Blu-rays (from the miniscule amount they get in) are £1 I will sometimes be a bit less picky even if I'm not that sure I'll like it!
The empty cases with letters on them is a great way to divide the sections of the collection! I might copy that idea.. ;)
I really love your shelves! They are exactly what I am looking for. I use several thin shelves and they drive me insane! Really enjoying you collection.
Thanks! Yeah, I really like custom hand build shelves a lot more than the store bought shelves I have used in the past.

Yes, I get this question from time to time and yes I do have my stuff insured. Thanks for Watching :)

Massive collection! But why do you break up collections and put into separate cases? When your space runs out you'll have to condense again?
Thank you! And I break them up because I like to see the individual cover art. And yes, at some point I will run out of room but that shouldn’t be for a while. Thanks for watching :)
