It's implied that DIL pushed the MIL down the stairs in revenge, and the video footage could prove exactly what went on. I do feel sympathy for Lindsey having a miscarriage is horrible experience, however 2 wrongs do not make a right.

I'm sorry, but I can't sympathize with anyone here. Lindsey's a sociopath, and so is the mom; Phillip should've gone to the police once he found out about her shoving the mom down the stairs. Yes, it would've exposed his cheating, but at least it would've gotten a violent criminal (or two) off the streets.
We don’t know that she pushed her down the stairs. The MiL was probably just trying to get away from her when she told her MIL that her husband had asked for her to look after his mother. Scared, she couldn’t maneuver her chair very well and subsequently fell down the stairs. At least she called the ambulance. If the daughter in law had pushed her, she would have told her son about it.
That just makes her 10 times hotter!!!!
