She's the greatest and I'm so glad she had the last laugh once. I hate that Great Glenn (and everyone else) has to be in Meryl's shadow, when she's just as (in my opinion more) talented and unfairly underrated. I hope she gets an Oscar, too very soon.

I always want to see Glenn and Meryl acting in the same movie. They both are the greatest actresses we can have. Meryl got 3 Oscars so far. How come Glenn got none? There must be something so wrong with the Academy Award. Glenn deserves at least 2 or 3 as well.

So do I. To this day, I don't know how she lost the Oscar for "Fatal Attraction" to Cher in "Moonstruck." Yes, Cher was very good, but, after all the name of the award is BEST Actress, not VERY GOOD Actress. Glenn's performance was one of the best I've seen. She was brilliant beyond description!

Just a thought. Glenn Close has never stopped playing complex roles and has never failed in any that she has played whether on television or film. With or without an Oscar, she will remain as one of the greatest American actresses. Whenever she plays a role on screen, she never fails to capture the interest of her audience with her roles' vulnerability and determination. It is just that the film screens could hardly contain the vast emotions that her characters exude. More movie projects for her in the future.

Everybody on here lamenting Glenn lost Oscar for Fatal Attraction.
To this day, I still think playing a psycho in that movie hurt her chances, esp the director reshoot that horrendous ending made Glenn to be the female Freddy Krueger.
The Academy wasn't gonna stand for that.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will eventually give Glenn an honorary Oscar like they've done for Lauren Bacall, Deborah Kerr and Peter O'Toole, folks nominated many times and never won.
