    Good Will Hunting would have looked quite different had Ben directed it. Whatever happened, happened and it was for the best.

    One of Robin Williams’ best roles. Dead Poets Society and Goodwill Hunting are two of my favorite films of his. RIP Robbin Williams.

    I think Good Will Hunting would have won the Oscar for best original screenplay in MOST years, the script is that good.

    very few movies have touched me the way GWH has, the scene where he keeps saying its not your fault over and over, I know its coming and it still gives me tears...powerful stuff

      I love how while they're embracing, you can see Sean's (Robin Williams) eyes smiling from over Will's shoulder. They're saying, "I got you, you s.o.b., I got you to break." I tear up every time too.

      It’s such a well done film from writing, casting, to acting. Robin will be remembered for a lot of things as he should be but in 100 years that performance will still captivate and give people chills.

    Good Will Hunting is definitely a great movie, a well written character drama with great heart and awesome performances that deserved the accolades it got. But "one of the best movies ever made" is a huge stretch, Howard

    Ben Stiller always made me laugh.
    There's Something About Mary is one of the greatest comedy films of all time...IMO.

    Something similar happened to “Rocky.” Stallone wrote it and the studio didn’t want him to act in it.

    Stiller most likely read the script and envisioned himself in the Will Hunting role. Had he got his meathooks on it, bombs away. He's good at comedy and playing the victim, period.

    As amazing as Good Will Hunting was, I believe Ben directed a film that was better. . . . The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which in my humble opinion, is also a genuine masterpiece.

      @@laurencewhite4809 Uh no they are not. Check out the Foo Fighters interview, OR THIS ONE ABOVE, or any of them. There is no eye contact, no shot of any "4k screen" and always a super weird vibe. Bevcause they are "on the phone" but "in a studio." (why not just Zoom from their house if hamptons howieweird stern is? - Im sure they are thinking).
